Just a shame he is using garbage info to get his point accross as we wouldn't get £100m in one lump sum, it would be for several years after the ground is built so we woul still need to borrow the money.

      No
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

        Who knows?

No one know anything about any sponsored name for the stadium yet, probably because we don't even know how it will look like yet.

Around £400m for the new stadium.

          £680m.

So it's around £180m that is missing.

The money for players probably was TV and CL money so they didn't have to borrow any money for that.
You still have £180m missing and also all the figures being quoted for the new ground are £500m. This would mean either everyone is wrong about the cost of the ground or the debt isn't being consolidated.

Would you go back and kill Sarah Connor when she was a little bit younger or wait until she is able to defend herself AFII?

We know one thing theough, no company will pay it all upfront so this does not factor into this conversation.

                Why kill her at all?

I want peace on earth and not a lot of Terminators playing for LFC and that would probably happen if someone killed SC. Imagine the number of red cards we would get.

In the science fiction world of course.

We will know in February 2008 when the personal loans on the takeover expire

My guess is that the £500 million includes the takeover costs & stadium build costs

The bulk of the other stadiums costs will be made up from naming rights being sold, grants etc...

Or they have factored in the sale of the naming rights, grants etc.... and only need to borrow £500 million

I dont think anyone expected them to pay cash for the stadium

In fact it makes better business sense to have some debt on the club for tax reasons / incentives

As for the debt accrued in the takeover, the initial loans are personal and expire in February 2008 they expected to be combined / refinanced into the stadium debt against the clubs assets

This is what the owners initially said wouldnt happen

We should have known this was coming though because Hicks & Gillett are leveraged buy-out specialists

Lec you seem to be thinking that naming rights will part pay for the ground, my point is no company will pay that upfront, it will be instalments during the contract so you can not factor this in as the club/ G&H would have to put the money in for the short term so it is irrelevent. I know that paying for the ground will be done by debt so this only leaves 2 options, one is the ground costing £500m as Hicks said and everyone assumes (see stadium thread) or the ground will cost less than £300m and the debt is included. It can not be both though.

I think the £500m will include the building of Anfield Plaza, ie the hotel and such that the council will part own under the agreements.

                                Voted H&G.

It bugs me a little on these boards, there are quite a few people who constantly come out with posts like 'wish we'd chosen DIC now', 'hope DIC come to our rescue' and suchlike.. It just bugs me a little and whilst I know the recent media decible was uncalled for, who's to say something worse wouldn't have happened with different heads in charge? The grass is always greener on the other side.
