Why I hope Rafa resigns soon

Well they're banking of selling it out.

Let's see it that way. If Rafa's sacked, there will be loads of angry supporters ... for a time ... and everything else will fall back into place if the other manager is successful, so they could also bank on hiring one with a proven track record.

It will also mean we've fallen off compared to our previous standards. It will just be like Newcastle, Spurs etc ...

Hicks will also get a better price for his shares if it looks like he is forced out. Something like this.

Hicks....Ok, I will sell out but I want a top price for my shares or else I will stay.

He can now also get away with less spending in the January window because the fans will be more than happy as long as Rafa stays.

Maybe it's just one of my crazy theories, who knows?

Why do most believe that the "situation" - if there still is one, and that there was even one in the first place - will lead to him being sacked?

It's all speculation, third hand rumours and professional bull****ters spouting off.

And it saddens me that the majority seem to have fallen for it hook, line and sinker.

It's gotten to the point where people are starting up petitions FFS. Am I the only one embarrassed by this?

Just think, if Rafa hadn't been so candid in his press conference none of us would've had any idea this was going on.

I'm sure disagreements have taken place before between the hierarchy, it's just that this time it's been conducted in public.

Yet instead of treating it for what it was, a disagreement in club policy, we've been subjected to professional pessimists from all sides determined to make a mountain out of molehill.

And right during a crucial period for the club on the pitch.

Couldn't agree more mate - it all came about because Rafa thought he could squeeze them for some cash for transfers and they just stood up and showed him that they are not going to be played like that in public. That's why he's backed down - realising he was in the wrong - and everyone else has jumped on it like hyenas. It's bull**** - and we as fans shouldn't be listening to it. I am dumbfounded as to why everyone is listtening to the press .

Not at all. I'm just seeing the situation for what I know about it rather than reacting to media storm and internet rumours. Do you think emailing the papers and having a petition are a good thing?

On another point, what are you saving the club from exacty? A new stadium? The best striker we have had since Robbie? Millions of pounds spent on potential (Lucas and Babel)

Perhaps the yanks have done actually nothing wrong and are irrate by our manager acting like a baby in a press conference. I love Rafa but he stoked this and has continued to do so ever since he arrived with us. He has yet to NOT recieve backing and in all honesty I have no reason to believe G&H would not allow Rafa to at least offload a few players to get a minimum defensive cover in. They can't act now anyway as the window is shut, if they fail in January they I will re-assess my position on this.

I'm firmly of the opinion that the club have acted like ****s. All parties involved. I do think Rafa has used the fans to make a point also.

What makes me laugh is that we are supposed to have all these insiders and members of the press that know what is happening because top people inform them and they didn't know what was going on until Rafa had that press confrence on Thursday. Even though they are all saying that the phone call that led up to it was 3 weeks prior. Why has no one thought about this when they go on about how well linked the likes of Bascombe was.
All this Bacombe PMing Rashid, the reason he would do this is Bascombe needs the fans to believe he has info not to actually have info. If we believe him then we "will" (I wont) buy the sunday ****.

The whole story is not. You only have to look at Rafa's press conferences to know that.

The journos have still speculated somewhat, for example the Mourihno bit and Rafa being sacked if we don't win tonight.

Spot on mate, they are reacting to the press confrence and statements and then doing what they like to do, stir it up so there are more stories.

In most ways I agree. We wouldn't look like the scum and chavs if it is done right. If the whole point is anti G&H like the papers are trying to say it coul do Rafa more harm than good as they would see it as Rafa turning the fans against them. If it is all about supporting Rafa then it will mostly do good.
