Sure, I know you've said in the past it's not about ditching rotation full stop, but rotating the right players at the right time, and I know those posts are not necessarily representative of your considered opinion, but you can't really jump down peoples throats for thinking otherwise because at the end of the day you did make a few pretty strong posts complaining about it. No need to get carried away, we're just talkign some footy here, and we're all reds.

**** me. I've just fell off my chair.

TBH DJ I have no real problem with you other than the tone in which posted on this topic some weeks back. Red Polo has provided a couple of examples of which there were many more at that time.

It makes you look hypocritical now when you have come out in such strong support of Rafa. I hope when we go through our next blip you can perhaps use more tact. Not saying you shouldn't criticise just do it with more respect to a man who is doing his utmost to take us to the promised land.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Of course, no carried-away-ness on my part...

I still provided an example which was a whole MONTH more recent though, and it backs up what i said before about heat of the moment comments vs cold light of day comments

Polo did indeed provide examples, and as i said, they were fairly heat of the moment. 2 days after the brum game, if i recall correctly.

Then i provided an example from 1 month later, which backs up what i said a few posts back.

cant be arsed reading the whole thread art the mo but i want to see well done to Jack Hobbs. I dont know why some people doubt his ability. Evertime I ve seen him he has looked solid and he let rip a couple of lovely passes yesterday. I think he will form a significant partnership with Agger and if we could nick Gary/Kompany we are well set.

Also, Nando loves scoring at the Kop end in the league , no? Thats 4 out of 6 I think Derby, Tottenham, Fulham, Bolton ?
"I watched the Champions League quarter-finals and the way they crushed Arsenal. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match.

Jaysus H, this may go on for some time

You spent a fair time fuming about it when it happened, people are going to remember that ahead of the odd posts about it on unrelated threads a fair bit afterwards. I'm not saying you still think that Rafa should've started Torres, just that you're wrong to suggest people are being tossers making it all up just to have a pop at you when they act like you were fuming about it! Christ on a bike fella, give me something here

As for my post match reaction today. Pretty ****ing chuffed really, like we all are I suppose. Another game, another win. This **** is becoming routine and that's the way I like it. Although that said, the game has a dangerous habit of biting you in the arse when that happens - we need to keep our concentration, take each game as it comes and be ****ing ruthless about getting results. If we can keep that mentality then we're in with a great chance.

TBH i reckon you post enough to be able to cover any criticism levelled at you

Agree. I actually think wins like this do as much for the squad's fitness than any rotation. One of our problems under Rafa I will agree with is our inability to finish teams off. ManU inparticular have been masters of this over the years and it allows the last 15/30/45 minutes to drag on without players having to push themselves.

If we continue to win games by 3 or 4 in relative ease like today or last week against Newcastle (Porto was more taxing, IMO) Rafa will not have to rotate as much IMO.

On top of that he can take Gerrard, Torres (see today) or whoever needs the rest most off once the game is in the bag.

I also feel our style of play is more taxing than some others so the sooner we can slow it down and hold the ball the better.

****ing good match, good linkup play, good discipline (mostly), good skill and good goals. Wanktastic

If we play like that against the scumbags then we will lay a ****ing big stick in the sand for all Reds to rally around.

                              True.

Still think politician suits you better though

It has never been two defensive midfielders. Just because you play 4-2-3-1 doesn't mean that you will play with two defensive midfielders. One or both of them will always help out in attack.

It's only on paper that it lookes like we play with two defensive midfielders.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
