It has never been two defensive midfielders. Just because you play 4-2-3-1 doesn't mean that you will play with two defensive midfielders. One or both of them will always help out in attack.

It's only on paper that it lookes like we play with two defensive midfielders.

Yesterday both Lucas and Gerrard played that role together but one of them always went forward. I was really impressed by Gerrard yesterday, he played much deeper than normal but still had a massive impact. Infact it was probably his best game of the season but he still kept a close eye on Lucas just in case.

To Lucas' credit he handled his responsibilities like a veteran.

Come on tomas, me old mucker (typo )...the two posts in the heat of the moment were wrong, the one a MONTH later in the cold light of day was the more sensible one - which AGREES with you and most of the other RCDNW crew. Yet some still wanna have a pop, even though i'm agreeing with them.

As for rotation - there were 3 changes to the starting line up between Newcastle and Bolton.
Riise, Benny and Crouch came in for Finnan(injured?), Momo and Kuyt.
How many changes would you say constitutes a lineup that is "rotated" would you say?

I reckon 3 plus changes no?

Well it's partly numerical and it's also partly intelligent roation - eg, trying not to meddle with the key players or the spine.

Similar to how Terry, Lampard and Drogba always play for CFC if they're fit.

Same issue for us, with carra, SG and torres.

No fredo, i mentioned sheep because for a SECOND person to SEE the 2nd post of mine that i linked back to, and yet STILL deny the point it proves, suggests to me that they havent read the thread properly and just followed the 'crowd'.

When someone presents you with evidence to back up their point, yet you ignore it and stick to the contrary view, that to me, is a bigger example of being a WUM.

Couldnt really care less what certain people think of me, the vast majority who i happen to think have some nous, have me pegged fairly accurately.

But anyway, i'll explain it simply, so you can 'fricken' understand it...

Polo posted a couple of examples of me blaming rafa's rotation for the brum draw...ok? With me so far?

They were 2 days after the game, which i perceive to be still in the heat of the moment, still fecked off with the result, etc...

Then a MONTH later, i posted that i didnt blame rafa for the brum game, because the team he picked should still have won.

That's the evidence and i posted a link to it.
