    Sad but true

I didn't see the match, I heard it on 5live (joy) and it sounded pretty bad, it didn't sound as though we actually created much at all except a few FK's and corners.

Nevertheless, Rafa seems to have a problem with the SCUM in the league. He seems to be out of his depth against Fergie which is worrying. I don't know what their head to head record is in the league but I can't remember us beating them yet.

We should be looking to get a draw out of these games as the bare minimum.

They didn't create much, but didn't need to. A point was always going to be a better result for them than us, and if they pinched a goal it would be a bonus.

The strk truth is we still aren't good enough. We've played the other top 3 teams at home and picked up 2 points. We may have been unlucky at times but equally we haven't been good enough in those games as a whole.

The league has gone for another season and once again its the cups and a top 4 finish as our aims.
You realise that they spent most of the second half with 8-9 men behind the ball, virtually camped in their half?

Oh, and that they're pretty good defensively?

When we do this to Barcelona, we don't suddenly say they're ****e do we? First goal wins these games more often or not these days.

When I look at the scum and compare to us, what do I see?
I see players in the United Squad that have a natural instinct in attack, all of the attacking players are allowed experess themselves and are not handcuffed tactically.
Saying that. I also think a player like Teves could do Kuyts job effectively, players like that will instictively close down and harrass opponents anyways, but ill make proper use of the ball when the chance arrises unlike Juyt who unfortunaetly IMO is not good enough for a league winning side.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

The unfortunate thing about this AF is that Kewell's best days are behind him. Today proved this to me. I think he is a useful squad player to have but IMO not good enough to play in a title winning team anymore!!
                Dare we believe

He need more time. He has been out a long time and isn't back to his best yet. I would judge him in three, four months time, not now, because it isn't fair to do that.

He was one of our best player if not the best player in the first half and the way he set up Gerrard just outside the box shows how good he is.

Kewell wanted too much time on the ball and lost possession too much - indeed their goal came from him losing the ball...

To be fair, their players lost the ball just as much. That's the fixture for you.

                    Definitely not a pen though.

We were very very good for the first 15 minutes of the second half, when Gerrard seemed to have license to attack. I've no idea why that stopped. Let Masha mop up, Stevie should have stayed attacking.

I have no idea why Rafa played Masch as the attacking midfielder in the second half Surely Lucas would have been a better option doing that if Rafa wanted Gerrard as the holding midfielder.

He always had a lot of space but didn't get the ball that often, no idea why. Instead Riise killed some more pidgeons.

That's because he didn't look up for better options and tried his luck instead.

It's like having Baros as left back.

Kewell was out of his depth today.

                                Should have 'risked' Babel
