He had an OK game against Chelsea ie. he didn't win the usual wooden spoon award but to review your opinion of Momo based on one game is knee jerk in the extreme. He's clearly not at the required level and I think if we need to keep proper world class players like Mascherano then we have to sell the medicre players in the squad and that would include Momo.

I can only base it on the amount of times he has played with Xabi in the middle this season, plus i didn't say he was all of the sudden a fantastic player nor did i say he was at the same level as Masher. My point is Momo is a quality player if played in a certain system, if he wasn't any way decent Juve would'nt be after him would they?

No matter who Momo plays alongside he can't pass a football and for a midfielder that's a disaster.

We have Gerrard, Alonso, Mascherano and Leiva in the squad, why do we need another central midfielder who's far inferior in quality to the other 4?

Every team needs a scrappy hard working defensive midfielder, but to compete with the best he also needs to be able to keep the ball and distribute it. Momo is missing too much IMO.

We need to keep Mascher, he is one of the top defensive midfielders in the world and if we need to sell Momo to help finance it, I wouldn't be too unhappy.
