Just want to point out that Kuyt wasn't the only reason that we didn't win today but it's getting boring to see us dominate games like this and more or less know that we won't score.

I'm not the least bit unhappy with our team performance. The only thing I would have done differently would have been to bring Babel on earlier and take Kuyt off instead of Kewell.

The draw was frustrating, but we're one of only two sides so far this season to leave Eastlands with any points to speak of.

A point away to Citeh who are unbeaten at home isn't a bad result.

But with the scum losing and the chavs and arse winning it's a massive disappointment.

Anybody who tries to look for a scapegoat amoungst any of those players who played is a cunt of the highest order - just getting pre-emptive strike in there.

Agreed fully but we could do with another top class player to change a game, a Litmanen, Dalglish, Beardsley etc type player.

He didn't miss, it was clearly on target and about to cross the line until it was cleared by a bionic defender, if Carra had done it we'd be singing his praises not slating the opposition stirker.

Real chance missed by the lads but at least we did not lose. We are 10 points behind the leaders and with a game in hand. A potential of 7 points behind, I would have taken that coming into the second half of the season.

I thought Aurelio was immense along with Kewell who tore Onouha apart. Finnan was solid, he didn't encourage Petrov any opportunity whatsoever. Carra and Arbeloa were not asked a lot in the second half which shows how good the masking job was done by Mascherano and Gerrard. Benayoun again looked the biggest threat and doesn't seem to be getting the recognition by a lot of the posters. The two strikers, I thought were below average- Torres should have buried one of the chances given to him and so should have Kuyt.

Gutting result looking at yesterdays defeat of Manchester United and possibly Chelsea looking to slip up in the next couple of weeks with injuries and the ANC coming. Nowt wrong with the performance, couldn't have played better besides putting the ball in the back of the net.

Citeh have an excellent home record. Today they had.... 0 shots on target. Frustrating that we couldn't finish them off, but in isolation that was neither a bad result, nor a bad performance. Kuyt generally is not enough of a goal threat, but I think Benitex knows that; we simply don't have many other options - its not like Voronin would have done any better, and Babel, well, I don't think he's ready to be starting up front yet myself. Unfortunate we couldn't pick up the extra points on ManU today, but nothing worth going off on one about today either.

The thing is in isolation it is a decent result but in the bigger picture we have to be looking to excel and perform significantly better than our nearest rivals who are very, very good teams to win or even compete for the league.

At the end of this weekend we are one point further off top.

It's not a disaster but it is not an encouraging result either at a time when I think we really need to kick on.

I think Babel has to come on earlier in this sort of match though. He may not be the finished article but he does provide a variation to our attack which can be valuable any way. Especially when we are dominating in midfield and so Kuyt's contribution there is less valuable.
