i am slowly losing faith with Rafa.

Whilst i admire him as a manager i honestly dont think he will ever win the league title for us. He knows the european game inside out and i'll always be grateful to him for helping us lift #5. But the league is the title we fans are craving for.

There is no doubt we have a weaker squad than the top 2 but we should still be capable of beatiing the likes of wigan at home.
    In Rafa I Trust

Excellent point, made by a Man U mate of mine today in work too it happens.

He reckons and it's a fair point, that you really only need to set your stall out "tactically" against the other top teams in the league, after that you should really just attack them with everything you've got,ala Man U.

I voted yes by the way,but I do think Rafa may need to look at how he does things for it to happen.

yes. he can still do the job, but i think its coming very clear that rafa struggles without Paco.

But its not one fortunate goal now is it? Its a lack of attacking prowess at home and the inability to kill games off.... Its happening too often to be put down to one fortunate goal.

You heard the boos at anfield last night, are you saying that these are the sounds of kneejerkism? Certainly not. They are the voices of fans being hit hard by the reality that another league title is out of our grasp. In January. Which is incredibly frustrating given that we have players capable of mounting a decent challenge at the very least.

Benitez has done a fantastic job in re-sowing the seeds of LFC after Houllier. Fantastic. No doubts about that. But are we any closer to No19? Any closer? Not really. We have better players, so we should be better in the league, but we are not.

A pretty damning indictment of the manager I feel.

These boos at Anfield...who were they directed at?
            The team?
            The manager?
            Or both?

That is one thing I`ll never understand, boooing your own players when they are trying their best. It was a disappointing result yesterday, but it wasn`t down to lack of effort IMO.

                only 50% "yes"....

it would be interesting to repeat the exercise after a 4-0 win.

Well if all other teams had of stood stagnant then yes it would be pretty damning, but when Rafa arrived Chelsea went on a spending spree and United and Arsenal were rebuilding there teams. Rafa had to restart his rebuilding with a pile of crap while Utd and Arsenal had Championship winning sides to rebuild from.
Under Rafa we took 3rd spot 2 years in a row and have got to plenty of finals. We all want to win the league but you cant just turn a load of crap into a Championship winning side so quickly specially with so many other teams out spending fortunes who started from a better position.

                    Yes

                    Very much so.

If we win our game in hand we will be within touching distance from Arsenal who are about to go through their hardest test.

You do realise that the game in hand is at Anfield.

Agreed the money thing is a consideration but its not games against these teams that are the problem. Its the lesser teams that we stuggle against and nobody can say we dont have the players to win those games at home.

I dont expect us to win the PL but i expect better against Wigan, Derby, Birmingham, Spurs....

I went for no, after some careful deliberation. Rafa will keep us hovering just below the top 3 and take us far in Europe repeatedly. I just think we need more now, we've been playing second fiddle too long and I'd like to give the title a shot, even if changing manager is risky.

But you can turn a load of crap into european champions? We weren't a load of crap, we were the 3rd or 4th best team in the league, as we are now. Yes, others have improved in that time, but it's games against the likes of Wigan and reading that trip us up too often.
