cause i think its his agents keeping his profile up
Klinsmann did a good job with the German national team. They were supposedly cannon fodder at the at the beginning of the tournament but he got them to the semi. That's pretty good.

I'm not so sure it was all Klinsmann's work though becuase since he left his assistant has continued the good work. That leads me to think that Klinsmann may have been a figurehead rather than the man who did everything. Almost as if the other guy, although good enough, wasn't a big enough name.

    That's just my opinion though.

      Not all that bothered

Seriously what is the point in getting worked up over it when Rafa is so clearly on his way out?
The Americans aren't backing him in the transfer market, not all that convincing with there statements to say he's the man they want in charge, take there time in coming out to 'back him' etc.
I don't think it's much to ask for the owners to let the fans know what is happening, they're not doing that i'm afraid, the transfer window is open, Maherano has come out and said on 2 or 3 occassions he wants to stay, Rafa says he wants him to stay, the fans love him, the deal is agreed in principle apparently so why the **** isn't he been signed up already? ****ing pathetic.
Half the players look like they don't give a flying any more either so i'm not going to get all down about it.
Once a bit of stability and sense is restored into the club then i'll start caring again.

Tactically though it's another matter. Perhaps he just can't make his mind up on his preferred formation, but when he sets his team up like he did away to Reading in the league, you do wonder what on earth he's thinking about.

Then there's our rather timid - you say might pragmatic - approach to games. We simply show teams too much respect. Wigan the other night was a perfect example of this, as was Man Citeh away last week. We will never win the league with this kind of opaque mentality. You'd think that after 3 and a half years in this country that Rafa would've figured out that most teams come to Anfield for a draw and set up to defend (park the bus). Yet we just don't go at them, and by that I don't mean silly gun-ho attack, attack Brazil 1982 nonsense.

In that regard we haven't progressed since Ged. It's very, very frustrating.
As the legends Shanks and Paisley always said, its a simple game. They wouldn't have had anytime for managers these days who over complicate the tactics end of things. No need to go over board to get around how other teams are going to set up.Just pick the formation that best suits the players we have and play it every week.Let the other team worry about us not the other way round.

Well it's early doors in the transfer window but you may well be right.

However if the Septics are as big a cunts as to get rid of Rafa & undermine him diring the season to such an extent that things on the pitch are affected, what makes you think that we will return to stabilty so quickly with them at the helm?
            3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Its clear that off the pitch we are in a right old mess.
G&H don't want Rafa as manager and if he starts next season as manager i'd be amazed.

i don't think we'll buy Masher or spend any significant cash in January.
G&H will sack Rafa in the summer and the new man will come in to start another new era.

It'll be very harsh on rafa but once we sold out to the Yanks this sort of mess was always likely. we've got people in charge who care nothing for LFC and its history. Rafa criticised them in public and from that moment on he was a goner. I believe all this has finally got to the players, they aren't stupid, they know whats going on.

This period is without doubt the lowest in the last 50 years. True we've been worse on the pitch but not off it and no club which is so badly run off the pitch will ever have long term success on it.

I'm no fan of DIC but they couldn't be worse than the current owners. To competewith the best you need to be united on & off the pitch and we are a million miles away from that.

I hadn't pieced all that together before as an explanation for our poor form but it rings true like a bell.

                    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

We should crawl over broken glass to get this guy. He is a WINNER. Full stop.

Ive had enough Rafa after the last month. Hes a fraudster domestically, and that is the trophy we need at this point in our history. Get Mourinho in.

We are boring, we've got to admit it - we're a chronically boring team who don't challenge for the league.

                                Not good enough.
