If the yanks sack Rafa, they will face the fiercest backlash beyond their wildest dreams.

Hope so too mate, but given what we've seen of the owners so far I fear that they are poles apart from the fans in their thinking.

I know what you saying, and the cynical side of me would say the same thing, on this occasion though, it is not coming out.
I just think Maureen just has a thing for English football and would love a go at the ost Mythical team in football.

'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

            Doubt it

Depends on how well the replacement does. If the yanks sack Rafa and we win the title the following season, it will all blow over

They'll certainly be getting one from me. I'll always love the club and follow the team, but if they sack Rafa without good cause then I won't be lining their pockets any more.

It will blow over, but will we really win the league? Who out there can take us forward more than what Rafa's done? At the end of the day we would still need financial backing whoever the manager is. Mascherano should be signed up, regardless of who's in charge, or gonna be in charge next season yet it looks like they're not gonna sanction the move. If it was Man Utd, they would have paid up with no questions asked.

What do you call good cause.

I'd say not competing in the title race for 4 years good cause. I mean winning it seems too much to expect these days unless Rafa is baked with 100 billion every week of the transfer window, but at least we should be competitive. For 3 seasons, approaching 4, we've not been competing for the title and that's good enough cause to ask whether Rafa is capable of ever winning it, let alone competing.

I just hope their competitive spirits is alive and well to show the Manc owners who's the real boss!

I agree with you, it would blow over under those circumstances, but that is a massive "if". If they sack Rafa, make the necessary pay-outs to him and his backroom staff, bring in a new manager on a massive salary and perhaps pay off his club plus the backroom staff he'll bring with them, will there be sufficient funds left to back in the transfer market that will be necessary to turn the team into champions? Sacking Rafa at this stage would result in uneccesary cost and upheavel.

Some managers don't need 100 billion every week of the transfer window, despite what some est posters believe.
There is enough talent in this squad to win the title IMO if they were optimally managed.
