Thanjk you.

The 300 million pound figure is misleading, in the summer and winter transfer windows of his first season when he won the league with a record points score and a record number of goals, he spent 89 million total.
Secondly, Chavski demanded instant success, so Mourinho did what needed to be done to achieve that plus the records.
Would LFC demand instant success? History would suggest no as we are generally patient with managers if they appear to be doing a good job. He'd be given 3 years minimum which negates the need to spend 300 or even 89 million. Also our current squad is better than the squad he inherited from Ranieri, but that's just my opinion
In my opinion, Mourinho's results DO speak for themselves. He knows what it takes to win the premiership with a record points score and a record number of goals. He knows how to make a team great on a limited budget- Porto in UEFA cup and CL not to mention simultaneous domestic success.
Why did Mourinho consistently fail in the CL with Chelsea, yet win it with a supposedly inferior team/squad at Porto?
Winning the league with Liverpool in the current climate will be a much tougher task than winning it with Chelsea in 05 and 06. Is he up to it?
The way we are run as a club, I'm beginning to wonder whether there is any manager in world football who could win us the league
Lacking in key areas. Also think style of play is something of an issue.
I believe we are two top players short of being champions. Hopefully instead of the usual close season of buying 4-5 squad players, Rafa buys two top quality first teamers. I think it could make all the difference.
Guess so.
I think slowly Rafa has been finding great players for problem areas without spending ManU type money until Torres. If we can find another great striker,a CB and eventually proper wingers(I think Babel and Pennant were great signings for their price range) then we`re in with a chance in the next few yrs.
i`m not a fairwheather fan that demands sucess now. We`ve never had the money to compete wuth ManU and Chelsea in the transfer Market, how can we compete with them on the pitch.

I'm going to deliberately contradict myself here.
I think cups are a poor marker of a good team, the league never lies but cups do sometimes. The thing which made his Porto success so impressive was that he did it whilst winning the league too, not forgetting the UEFA cup the previous season and the league.
You wouldn't say Fergusson and Wenger are not great managers because of their CL failures.
That being said, he didn't win the CL with Chavski because he lost to the winners, winners and runners-up in his time there.

Indeed, even though he had the better team at his disposal Mourinho was tactically outhought by Rafa twice, and once by Rijkaard as well although I accept Barca were a better team than Chelsea.
I dont consider winning the Portuguese league twice as any great acheivement (especially compared to winning La Liga twice). Yes he coupled it with a CL win, but remember that year the big teams knocked themselves out, and Porto beat Lyon, Deportivo and Monaco in the latter stages to win the competiton.

But in the majority of cases in terms of the league, he isnt going to be facing someone with a) a squad/team good enough to compete with ours and b) someone's who's a supreme tactician.
Sure it might have cost him once or twice in the CL but over a 38 game season, as was proved during his time at Chelsea, his side generally come out on top.
Mourinho will be in charge before the start of next season, i'm totally convinced of this.
And he'll win the title for us.
Only if he wins us the league will I consider appointing him to be a good move, and I wouldn't be in support of him as our manager until that point. As mentioned previously, sacking Rafa and appointing Mourinho would be a watershed moment for the club; sacking a CL winning manager and appointing an outspoken, classless cunt in his place. I think that would be the point where we cease to be the special club we currently are, and instead become a souless ruthless sports franchise
What's soulless got to do with anything? Mourinho's a winner. Football IS a ruthless business and at the highest level, winning is everything. You're employing a proven and highly talented WINNER. You're not employing a best friend.
And if you think Shanks and Kenny werent ruthless and didnt put winning ahead of sentiment and anything else, then i'm sorry but you're being naive.

I think Souness had his outspoken moments, as has Rafa in recent times. Several times Rafa has behaved with a lack of class and been outspoken.

300 million pounds will help him do that.
