So turning a team of also rans into CL winners, FA Cup winners and regulars in the champions league, setting records even the great LFC sides couldnt acheive is out done by a bloke who took over and already very good performing team?

Forget Chelsea for a minute, do you think Jose wouldve been able to do what Rafa has done if he came to LFC? Because I dont. I dont anyone couldve.

All that stuff isnt the focus, it's the ****e that goes with it.

What do you want, a nice bloke who cant win the title, or an outspoken gobby git who lifts the Premier League trophy?

It's the latter for me. The manager isnt employed to be nice and be everyone's favourite loser.

And furthermore, for the millionth time, it's not a personality contest, it's about the best possible manager. He wouldnt be taking a job as your best friend.
Did I name you as one of the people? Please, show me where. I'm generalising and generaly people hated the guy with a passion and still would if he was down south with the chavs. All of a sudden though he's our saviour.

I never said it was a popularity contest. I just don't want a horrible cunt like that in charge of the club. It would take an awful lot for him to win me, and many other I suspect, over.

And the vacancy of a job as my best friend is currently filled. There's no shortage of takers either!!

Rafa's done very well in cup competitions, and europe especially, from what he inherited. But the objective is still the league and he hasnt taken us much further than GH did.

He would have done different things. He may not have won the CL. He was certainly capable as he had a good pedigree in the european competitions, winning both back to back with a low ranked club.
He would not have us in this position in the league, he would have us competing, I'm pretty sure of that. I think he's certainly capable of winning the FA cup with this squad.
So, it's all hypothetical, but he had the pedigree and track record so why not?

you asked are we CLOSER than we were last season. At least remember the question you asked fella.

Chances are we wont win it this season. But 12 points (with a game in hand) is not impossible to claw back.

I havent given up yet its not in my nature but it seems a lot of people have done.

Thing is, im not gonna turn my back on him even if we dont win it (which we probably arent going to) as I have seen improvement in us yet again.

It's Rafa's FOURTH season and we're in the same boat as when he took over, league-wise.
                  And whathas happened since then?!

Oh, I see, league-wise, you chose do erase from memory the other great things he has helped us achieve....

And if you don't see that we have improved as a team, nothing I can say can change your view.
You reckon the other top teams have stayed at Status Quo? They havent. And we have to improve FASTER than them to have a chance....and with less money. ****ing easy eh? Name me the manager who could do better than Rafa with the limited resources then?

                  I don't get you.
You seem to revel in defeat and post tons when we are in a hump.
It's not good for the heart you know.

Spot on again. Lets forget that he had a squad that cost over £300m to assemble. It's convenient for those who want him in charge.

I wouldn't criticise him for what he did when at Chavski. If he repeated it at Liverpool then I probably wouldn't tollerate it, but that's hypothetical again.

I prefer Rafa, a nice bloke who I believe CAN will the title, many of them.

Are we closer to winning it? Fairly sure we weren't 5th at this stage last season.

With all due respect, the league IS quite important you know.

Even Houllier won cups. As far as the LEAGUE goes (you know, the BREAD AND BUTTER), Rafa's done little better than Ged did.

That's the thing, he's done nothing to indicate he can in my opinion.
