I'm not knocking them for that. And to be honest I haven't got anything against them. I think that, in the long term, they will do good things for us in terms of the stadium and future investment in the team. They do need to have a look at what they can do in terms of quashing the recent specualtion though for the good of the team though. Even if they do still have plans to appoint a new manager in the summer.

For years under Moores we were hardly ever in the news for non-footballing reasons. We were all class and dignity....a dignified silence. It's hard to stomach this palaver. Every week there's something else...all played out it public. It's pretty galling and extremely tiresome.
I also wish that they'd start to show a bit more interest in our matches instead of only turning up for matches that are billed as ' Grand Slam, Sky Sports, Big Four, Wankathon Sunday.'

They need to have a look at themselves because they're not exactly coming out of this debacle smelling of roses, are they?

Surely they want this speculation to end as much as we do?

            Snoogy Doogy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If Rafa said he wanted to buy 'Snoogy Doogy' we would back him," added Gillett.

"Rafa's feeling is we need more depth because of the rigours of the schedule to be competitive.

"In every sport I participate in, there is a difference between a league season and the play-offs.

"That's where the genius of the manager is so essential and that's where Tom and I have to defer to his background and genius."

All the players we have are the ones Rafa wanted, no more no less.

I like Babel, but maybe a more experienced top quality winger was in order, one who would play every week, and save us relying a slowly dying Harry Kewell, even at the expense of Yossi.

Torres and Quaremsa would have been more than enough for me in the summer.

Well Everton, Villa and City have had a LOT less to spend than Rafa and their managers are doing just as good a job as 'The Tactical Genius'.

I agree he hasn't had the funds that Chelsea and Utd's managers have been blessed with but the squad he has assembled should be doing much much better.

He's moaned about funds yet still prefers Voronin and Deadly Dirk above a player he spunked £11m on.
His pig-headedness sees him preferring Voronin and Deadly Dirk above Crouch. Whether Crouch is good enough or not for Liverpool is irrelevant. He's a striker. Give him a run in the team and let's see what he can do.

Rafa will us trophies in Europe until they are coming out of our ears but he simply hasn't got a clue on how to succeed in the Premiership. We've got a better squad than Houllier ever had yet we're no nearer winning the title because like Gerard, Rafa messes with the starting line up too much and tries to fit square pegs in round holes. His priority is Europe. End of.

His tactics are to keep it tight first half by playing Gerrard deeper than his central midfield partner, hope we go in nil-nil, then push Gerrard on in the second and hope we snatch something in the last fifteen minutes. How often have we gone on to win with Rafa when we've gone a goal behind?

The argument that it's all the owner's fault is becoming tedious aswell.
Rafa started the tit-for-tat nonesense in the press. They've never said they were here to to throw money away on signings. Remember Gillett waving the dollars jokingly then stressing it wasn't just about big money signings, it was about nurturing young talent. Well Rafa has been on a mission to snap up everything under 20 years of age that can kick a ball and can anyone say hand on heart that there's any sign of even one of them breaking into the first team?
If we haven't got bucket loads of cash then we need a manager who can spot young talent and nurture it.

Up until now, I been sticking to the same viewpoint. Rafa should be given until the end of the season. If he's no nearer to the top than last season, he has to go. I don't want the European Cup year on year. I want the Premiership. But I think Rafa has reached a tipping point. He can't even get his players to show a bit of hunger and desire. You'd think after all the shenanigans with the nasty Americans they could at least do that for their boss.

I think it's time for him to go.

The Mail are running another story saying we want Jose again.

If Jose was available and wanted to come, I'd be inclined to get it over with now and sack Benitez.

See 14 posts above. The articl is there and most LFC fans don't want him near the club.

Even if that story was ture we couldn't appoint Mourinho now without agreement from Chelsea. And could you honestly see them stepping aside and letting him take the job? We could offer a compensation package but it's not as if they need the money, is it?

Putting aside the fact he's full of his own self importance and likes the sound of his own voice, why?
