The wenger comments - silly but only words. No real harm done. Those comments had absolutely no basis in fact and harmed Wenger's reputation - that's defamation. What other manager in the history of the game has committed a tortious act against a fellow professional in the course of his job? Can't think of many.

The ambulance thing, i'm not privvy to the facts.

The shush thing - part and parcel. No worse than us claiming that Gary Neville shags his mum up the ****ter Same with telling carra to **** off. The whinging about garcia's goal is just funny. Harmless and comical.Part and parcel of football yes, something a manager does, no. Inciteful and could have caused crowd trouble potentially. Not a good idea.

As i said, each to his own. You say he flies in the face of traditional LFC principles - i say he's a winner and that's one of our principles. He wants to win at all costs. We win with style, dignity class. We quietly get on with our business, no fuss, no hype. IMO Liverpool and Mourinho are worlds apart

Shanks was highly outspoken, sure you'll claim he didnt do some of the things JM did and you'd be right, but he was as outspoken as you can find.Answered your own point there, Shanks was outspoken, but he'd never do what Mourinho has done, because he had too much respect for his opponents for that

Personally think saying being at Man City, Villa level is a little harsh. We play better football than them and you only have to look at the game against City. Our problem (and Rafa's) is our inability to break down teams looking for a point, hence so many draws and being dragged into to fight for 4th.

Kuyt should be the second striker providing the additional goal threat but it isn't happening for him. That signing could be the downfall of Rafa. I hope not.

Of greater concern is the severe drop in form of the team starting against Derby which was dire. Man City was much better and more like our normal selves but since then we have played absolute crap. for me this is due to the storm clouds over Rafa's head not being put to bed.

We have not got enough quality players. The scum went out & spent £35m on 2 prospects from the Portuguese league. They spent £18m on Carrick. They spent £29m on Rio (we've just SMASHED! our record for a CB buy spending £6.5m on Skrtel!). They have consistently outspent us & everyone else over the past 10 years. FFS its well known that we had a deal to take Ronaldo for £5m when Tommo & GH saw on SSN that Utd had just gone out & bought him for £12.6m!!! Do you honestly think that Fergie would win the league with our players?! get real bud.

Yes Rafa has made some mistakes in the market (Kuyt etc) but these only highlighted because we don't have the resources to just go out & replace them. Forlan arrived for £12m at Utd yet nobody qs Fergies logic when he goes out & spends £12.6m on Saha who has been equally as ineffective. If Rafa had the "luxury" of wasting the guts of £70m on Nani,Forlan,Saha,Barthez (£6m), Carrick, Djemba Djemba etc then I'm sure we'd have a league title by now.

I'm really so sick of hearing people go on & on about how we should be doing better... why? We spent £21m on Benayoun & Pennant & Kuyt so that they could improve our 1st eleven. Utd spend just a bit less than that on 1 player for the ressies (Carrick). Our problems lie entirely with Parry & the Yanks. Simple as that. They have failed abysmally in trying to take us to a level where we can compete financially with the top teams. All we spent in the summer was what we made from reaching the CL final.

I believe & back Rafa not because I'm some blinkered idiot who'll just support the manager at all costs... I back him because I believe he's doing a bloody brilliant job in getting us as far as he has done on the limited resources (ie compared to Utd & Chelsea). Which reminds me.... I know i haven't mentioned Arsenal here but thats because I really believe that Wenger might be he greatest manager of his generation & what he's doing there (with a LOT more resouces than the media will try to spin btw!) but none the less he's the only one I swap Rafa for.

                I agree with all that.

On Saturday we played like crap, but still drew against a Boro team with a good record against the top teams. And now everyone's saying that Rafa's time is up? I know people's frustration runs beyond that one game, but the season still has a way to go. We're in a disappointing run of form; three draws in the Premiership isn't good enough. However, come the end of the season I think we'll be closer to the top than we are now.

There have been some great performances this year. Some bad ones too, but then that's the nature of football! The Scum were terrible in some games last season - people only remember the free-flowing games where they hammered teams. Of course the difference is that they nicked by one nil in those games whereas we've been drawing when we're been underperforming.

We need to ship a few players out and get some proper replacements. We're not there yet, but I've seen enough to think that on balance Rafa is still our best bet to bring us success. The other managers linked with us (Mourinho, Klinsmann) are jokes by comparison.
