If Rafa was to get the boot, I'd want Hiddink, someone who can coach the players, who likes attacking football. His PSV team were fantastic to watch.

Agreed. His work with Australia was outstanding. They became a great side that almost beat (and should have) Italy with some average players and some good ones.

I bet he would make Liverpool a great side. Plus he has excellent man management skills and world knowledge of the game.

I agree Kev on both points. I have to admit though the last few games have been alarmingly poor. But yesterday was a real low point for Rafa. We're playing TERRIBLE clueless football and unfortunately that will continue whilst you have players like Riise, Voronin, Arbeloa and Kuyt playing as many games as they do. Combine poor poor players along with negative tactics and you get the kind of perfomance we had to endure yesterday....an absolute carbon copy of a GH side.

I'm now very very close to losing faith in Rafa's ability to get it right in the league but he should be given till the end of the season.

It's definitely not the solution. I totally agree with you. But it's a very understandable reaction. Some of those players yesterday should be ashamed of themselves. Riise, Arbeloa and Voronin (there were others but these 3 really stand out for me) were like Championship players out there. Totally unacceptable. We've invested millions of pounds on the team and we still have average players in the side. We've had far too many poor performances this season and it goes to prove we're a million miles off the top 3. How anyone thinks we can win the league is baffling. Laughable in fact.

I dont think we can attract them or even afford them it would seem.

So we need to do the Wenger approach and build a team and over time let it play.....but we dont have the time for that do we.
