I can't believe Mark Hughes has been mentioned in this thread as a potential replacement for Rafa (should he leave). I would top myself if that Manc ****house ever managed us.

i personally believe now is not the time to panic about on the pitch stuff.
this is the time where we need to show faith in the man that has won 2 major trophies, taken us to 2 more major finals and achieved our highest points tally since the start of the premier league.
there are other candidates who are perhaps of equal standing (lippi, hiddink, mourinho) or have the potential to be as good (o neil, hughes) but if we start ifring managers- even successful ones- every 4 years for not delivering the title then we'll forever be starting again.
its unlikely we'll ever get a huge cash injection a la chelsea, or be able to compete with man u for income until 2012 at least, so the only wa to go is like arsenal- put total trust in the right man and let him reap the benfits in the long term.
i can't think of a manager i'd rather have in place to do this (other than wenger himself) than rafa.
yes he is making and has made mistakes this season (and previously) but i feel his entire position of authority has been undermined and this has no doubt effected the squad. pressure effects decision making, but so too does insecurity and no club has ever thrived in such circumstances.
in the end we'll plummet to the likes of newcastle- huge support but no manager will go near us as you won;t get the time to achieve all that needs t o be done.
i honestly see this season as like man utd prior to fergie's FA cup win of 1990. a little patience and foresight and we will reap the rewards in the longer term"At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don't come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques"

I don't want to speculate any more until it's clear Rafa isn't staying. I think most of us have made our positions clear over the last 2 weeks or so.
I want Rafa to stay and succeed. But I dowant him to change. But sadly I think he may have to fall and hit his head on a rock before he does what I want.

Whilst I don't think Rafa should go, I do believe that G&H have the right to sack him.
By that I mean they didn't hire him and if you buy a business and don't have faith in the senior management then you only have one course of action.
The problem with G&H is that they don't appear to have faith in Rafa's ability when they should have.AKA Heighway No9
