Didn't Klinsmann say the other day that he didn't have an offer on the table when Bayern approached him. Possibly it is Bayern trying to big up his capture. Either way it just goes to show we can't trust what people say in the media and our time lines are completely dependent on that so at the very least I would advise caution when making such accusations.

I really can't be bothered but I take your word for it. The problem is it only confirms that he was lying in his earlier interviews (or was misquoted or simply got the dates wrong) or that there was a misunderstanding between him and Hicks as to how long the offer lasted.

I have to say I'm very wary of trying to infer a time line from the bits of evidence we have. I'm suspicious of Hicks but I'm not sure we are getting anything like the full picture from any of the players in this farce.

The talent in the Rangers organization has been drastically depleted under Hicks’ tenure due to frequent swings of strategic vision and changes amongst coaching, development and scouting personnel combined with bad trades, poor free agent signings, and bad decisions to not re-sign talented players or acquire better free agents. Hicks has left the Rangers void of the talent necessary to compete for a division title, much less a World Championship, and has shown a complete lack of vision or capability to turn the team around.

Well Gillett came out with all the nonsense that for them it's all about the fans. He's played the PR game very well with Hollow promises. But Hicks expressly stated that Gillett was also at the meeting with Klinsmann, so he was complicit. No respect for Gillett or his cohort. They both need to **** off out of it asap.

I agree we need them to go but no way would i EVER EVER buy a liverpool fc ticket for a game and then not turn up to spite the owners...thats ****ing madness!!!! You would have more of a negative effect on the team on the pitch than the owners.

I would also never boycott games either. I HATE the way our club is being run, i HATE the way these american cunts do business, i HATE how they have treated our manger (whether i like the man these days or not he is still our manager and untill that changes i will support him) and i HATE the fact that they are basically ****ing all over our team and traditions but untill DIC do us all a favour and finally buy our club we have o make do with them.

No worries mate, at the end of the day we want what's best for the club, people just react to happenings in a different way, but at the end all we want is great successful football.

Football is just such a complex institution, the whole money/business thing, it's difficult not to get distracted by anything but on-the-pitch matters, which I think is a reason there is often such heated debate.

Right. I've read it again, then read this thread, then read the article again. I suppose some might expect me to say this, but where in the article does it say Rafa was ever going to be sacked? Inference? maybe, maybe not. Rafa leaving? well he did 'joke' about applying for the england job in November, so Hicks could have been right to plan for the future. It's also worth mrentioning that Klinsman was first consulted 'about english and european football', maybe (just maybe) because Rafa came out with 'the owners dont understand the transfer market'. Is it possible that what Hicks hassaid is all true? have any of the lynch mob considered the fact? Doubt it, it doesnt fit with the mob vioce. I'm with sean on all of this. we dont know where its leading, but theres no way im calling rthe clubs owners liars without proof.
