they sat together when they went to a european meeting regarding coaching and management.
was demento asking rafa for tips about european football?
and did rafa mention fergie was lucky to get 7 years to build a title winning side?
"At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don't come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques"
One thing occurred to me this morning. Ferguson is usually the first to complement managers who are not really a threat to him. He is nice to those who cannot topple him (i.e. David Moyes etc) but has an horrendous relationship with those who are a genuine threat (Mourinho, wenger).
Also Ferguson is one of the first to publicly defend managers who get a rough time of who's job is under threat unreasonably as long as they are no threat to him (i.e. Fat Sam at Newcastle).
However, he never complemented Benitez nor has he commented on the unfair treatment of Benitez.
As you know I am a long term critic of Benitez and opposed his appointment in the first place.
However, the stance of Ferguson does give me pause for thought
where have you been?
didnt you see how he backed him a few weeks ago? and as another poster said he'll probably be asked about it again with the recent developments on friday when all managers have their press conf's

what a strange post.
fergies lack of apparent interest in what is going on at another club(liverpool of all clubs)means he sees liverpool, managed by rafa as a threat to man u?
if thats the case i presume your also suggesting that fergie is secretly wishing the yanks do indeed sack rafa so that we dont topple utd.
tbh im sure he is secretly wishing rafa gets the sack, not because he fears him,but because of his dislike of us and his pleasure in seeing things go wrong for us.
very strange post mate.
You two scousers are always yapping,I'm gonna show you some serious rapping.
I come from Jamaica,my name is John Barnes,When I do my thing the crowd go bananas.

I thought that Ferguson did come out and support Rafa just before the match earlier in the season?
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."
