Funniest thing I've heard in weeksOriginally posted by redheart View PostI'm not...though as ever I am being proven right. I was challenged on it and did not mention it on this thread.
The only pause for thought I have is that Ferguson obviously sees Benitez as a threat
:whatever:
You can agree with me, or you can be wrong.

Never Feed The TrollsRemember, we're only adding to the nonsense.
Walking a lonely road one night, Nasruddin saw riders approaching. His imagination ran riot: he saw himself robbed or killed, so he climbed a wall into a graveyard and hid. Puzzled at his behaviour, the riders, who were followers of the Mullah, followed. Finding him cowering behind a grave, they asked "Great Sage, why are you hiding here?". "It's more complicated than you think" he replied, "I'm here because of you - and you're here because of me"

Here, have some straws to clutch at.Originally posted by redheart View PostThats not the point you idiot.
Whether you or anyone else likes it or not Ferguson knows football inside and knows who is a real threat to him and who is not!
He is never publicly nice to anyone who is a real threat to him.
Hence his lack of public pleasantness of support for Benitez is a very strong backhanded complement.
"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."
I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Arsene Wenger: Anfield is ‘genteel’Originally posted by Morten_nogamst_Pedersen View PostWhat he say?
Jan 15 2008 by David Prentice, Liverpool Echo
ARSENE WENGER has described a trip to Anfield nowadays as being “genteel” – and suggested the atmosphere at Goodison Park is currently more daunting.
The Arsenal boss brought his side to Everton after Christmas and won 4-1, two months after being held to a 1-1 draw at Anfield, but he admitted the atmospheres at the respective grounds were different.
“Liverpool is the same kind of support, but Everton is a bit more aggressive because Everton is up at the moment,” said Wenger.
“Over the last one or two years, especially, it has been one of the noisiest grounds and has a great atmosphere.
“Liverpool is the same but now a little bit more genteel.”
Everton are going to need a real atmosphere during their next outing at Goodison Park.
The Blues host Chelsea next week knowing a place in the Carling Cup Final and a Wembley day out is on the lineWe come not to play.

When that guy smacked him in the goolies was it because he was a midget or just so pissed he could'nt stand up properly, if the latter, fair play for identifying Fergie in the 1st place & atleast putting some sort of battle plan together in the heat of the moment.

Alex Ferguson surprised at Benitez Liverpool fall-out
By Martin Smith
Last Updated: 2:57pm GMT 14/12/2007
Sir Alex Ferguson has been speaking of his surprise at the fall-out on Merseyside between Rafa Benitez and the club's American owners ahead of this weekend's Super Sunday, which includes a meeting between Liverpool and Manchester United.
"I can never understand where the criticism comes from," Ferguson said of the well-documented rift between Benitez and Tom Hicks and George Gillett.

Fergie surprise: Man Utd manager can't understand the Anfield rift
"All of a sudden you read about a supposed dispute between Rafa and his directors and you don't understand it when you see the record that Rafa has got.
"You ask yourself where that comes from and there's obviously some undercurrent of a dispute somewhere along the line, but with Rafa's record, it's strange. He's won the European Cup and he's won the FA Cup. I think, with Rafa's record, it will be disappointing for him."
