Granted, they'd do things more respectfully and with more dignity than the yanks, but there's a chance they'd want to bring someone else in.

I think Rafa would have a greater chance of staying on under new ownership than the current regime. I'm now praying these cunts fail to secure the re-finance and are forced to sell. Hopefully the board will frustrate this as much as possible and force their hands. If they have any say at all (their members of the board and carry a vote?) then it's time for Parry and Moores to do right by the club and correct their error.

      Nicely put!

I might be wrong, but my understanding of it is that even if it is ratified by the bank, it's still not a certainty to be...what.....rubber stamped? What if Gillett doesn't consent?

I'm speculating here, in hope, as I have no clue how this works.

You're asking the wrong guy. I took far to many drugs as a young lad for my brain to function properly nowadays and I have absolutely no understanding of how things like this work but I thought ratified and rubber stamped were the same things?

What I mean is...ratified by the bank, at their end, with the deal then dependent on some kind of rubber-stamping at our end - i.e. Hicks & Gillett. Can Gillett's disapproval scupper the deal?

It would depend on who is given any power if it is only 50/50 then Gillett can stop any deal as I imagine both would have to sign any guarantees.

This is what I'm thinking. So even if the bank ratifies it, it's by no means signed and sealed.

Come on George, I always liked you ....do the right thing man.

Theyre trying to make a living here, and need to impress that they have the contacts and knowledge etc. easy to figure out, a bit like some posters on here!!!!
                      Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rr (:whatever

exactly which former player was the guy talking about? Thats right, you dont know because his identity wasnt divulged. This rumour wasnt about selling papers.

The only journo I can think of who flaunts his insider links with the club is Ballague

Anyway, my point was that former players could very well be in on whats happening right now behind closed doors.

what about him? He hardly flaunts his links. I know he dropped it into an interview a couple of weeks ago that he wouldnt be surprised if the owners left before Rafa did - if anything that proves my point about former players being in the loop

I think it shows how desperate we've become when the one much maligned DIC are now the knights in shining armour to resue our once great club. This is the same DIC that produced a document stating they would sell LFC after 7 years as this was likely to be the optimum time to maximise on their investment.

G&H to DIC, out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Well that was strongly denied. Nobody really knows, but even if true, i still think DIC would be the lesser of (potentially) two evils.
