    From Dave Usher.

The refinancing was essential or they would have had to sell to DIC on DIC's terms, or pay up their loans out of their own pockets.

The refinancing changes nothing, it just eases the pressure on them to sell immediately.

This isn't over, far from it.

Well that's unclear - article could be interpreted as meaning new money.

Guess we'll wait and see what they say, I'm sure it will be asked by a journalist if they don't say so themselves.

I simply don't understand the concern about this debt. The debt is on the club but if LFC can't handle the debt then guess who has a problem. We are looking at a 350mill£ investment + the rest of the stadium cost and of course some debt will be placed on LFC. With the new loan and building of the new stadium the debt is only natural.

Until the stadium is in place the club will need funding and it's G&Hs problem. How they chose to finance is entirely their business. If they chose to build this stadium without putting any debt on LFCs shoulders they would be the laughing stock in the business community. You honestly think that anybody would build a stadium for about 300mill£+ without using the club as collatoral and placing debt on it? What is it that you want? A 500mill£ invesment and zero debt on the club? Football is business. You expectations makes.no.sense. By all means feel a little peeved but leave it at that. Cleaning up after Moores will take time.

I like you Tom, even though the feeling might not be mutual, but your feelings are clouding your judgement and you have the ability to be a first class Drama Queen at times.

They thought about putting £ 350m of debt onto the club at first. Do you think they knew what they were doing ?

I'll sit tight on that one, and will listen what Hicks has to say about their plans. I'm not holding my breath, it's been too much already for me to have any faith in them.

In any case, I'll still be supporting the club, but they have a whole lot to do to win the majority of fans back.

The RTK bods are worrying me. Fingers in their ears going "Na na na na na, I can't hear you, na na na na"

Let's see what the ****ing plans are first, and at least see what happens in the summer!

No way, RTK are right. We won't give up until the Yanks are out.

There can be better ways to demonstrate our discontent isn't it ?

How about being a little bit smarter and try to instigate debate for a start ?

Agreed, some fickle fans here................each to their own, but I'll never forget what they've done to this club/what they haven't done, and I'll not be happy till they've taken their money out of the club

The fact that G&H might have to cover payments if the club can't is not reassuring to me - it means the club will stretched to breaking to meet these repayments, and if it cant afford them what is to prevent the yanks selling off our assets to cover the payments?

We can debate sensibly & logically between ourselves, but how can we believe anything that Hick's says, reading the FACTS about his past exploits makes me a very worried fan right now.

I fear the stadium designs & a few well placed words from Hick's will all but see the end of any REAL action to get them out, just a feeling i get reading the posts about the stadium. With more PR i'm sure to come the fight is all but done, sure there will be some discontented voices out there, but they will be well in the distance.

Surely the problem was that they didn't lie about that, but went public about it.

                              Look at this no brain:

John Mackin of supporters group Reclaim The Kop said: "Unless the owners come out and say they are giving Rafa Benitez a new deal, they are going to support him extensively in the transfer market, and that none of the money to fund that will put the club in debt, they have got no chance of winning us over."

The money for the stadium and for transfer will essentially come from the same pockets if we run with the expected deficit for the next four years ei. the investment that is the stadium. It makes zero ****ing sense. Embarrasing ambassador for the fans of LFC! It's like arguing with a kid ffs. Zero insight - I want a red lollipop h:

"Of the £350m refinancing package £105m will be saddled on Liverpool, with £185m secured on Hicks and Gillett's holding company Kop Investment."

If that is accurate then people should clam it and wait and see what happens. We look very healthy as far as I can see under these terms.

Glazer didn't give Fergie that much in his first summer window after the takeover. He did the following summer. I agree that the 23mill netspend last summer was a major disappointment. It might happen again next window but the financing and debt is a different issue and should be treated as such.

Bottom-line is: G&H will have to fund us until the stadium is in place. How much will they bring for transfers? Enough to challenge or enough to stay in top 4? Probably the ladder. Should we blame them or blame Moores or just accept that we won't be ready to really move forward until the stadium is in place?

I guess it's up to the individual. If you opt to just blame G&H for the current state of affairs, you're one hell of a shortsighted mofo imho.

What plans Disco? Are you going to be taken in by more lies? Because I am not. Everything these two clowns say needs to be taken with a huge pinch of salt. When I see Rafa in charge on the first day of next season, having spent the £40m NET he has supposedly been promised, then may be, may be I will have a more open mind regarding these jokers. And until then I will take every opportunity on here to slam them, because you know what, they deserve it.
