Maybe its my naiviety kicking in but I think Moores has always had the best interests of the club at heart, just didnt have the support or business acumen to actually make things happen. Whilst theres no get out of jail free card for being thick I bet you he is doing everything in his limited power to make things better. I have no sympathy for the cunt - I'm just re-stating a point that he didn't want it to be like the Glazers (and G&H said it wouldn't). A condition for sale was agreement (although now we know, not in contract) that the purchase of the club wouldn't be paid for by us - we would fund the stadium with their short term help, while they improved our marketing and revenue streams.

From 1892 last year got us to £-40 million. in 12 months they're making us start all over again from £-300 with a stadium to add making it £-600 million.

This is not aimed at you, but how any apologist or wait and see'er cannot see these, the most basic facts of our sale and the condtions for it, amazes me. Maybe I should congratulate them for the "Ostrich" technique (it's actually a myth that they bury their heads in the sand but hey-ho), but I just can't let that happen to me.

If their business plan is so great, why couldn't Moores have done this for just the stadium - which would have cost us about 200million. Moores wouldn't have gone to HKS, that's for sure.

These are the century defining moments of our club, and to give these cunts any chance at all after at least 4 different lies - ****ing fundamental, ******* lies as well, not a dog ate my homework, or, she looked older, officer.

DIC made an offer of roughly £4,500 per share.
Due diligence was done and the bid was being considered.
The Yanks then came in with an offer of £5,000 per share.
Moores was obligated by law to consider, he had a duty to the minority shareholders.
DIC threw a strop, refused to match the offer and ****ed off home.

So Moores had three choices;
1)not sell the club
2)sell to DIC for less money for himself and the minority shareholders
3)sell to the Americans and get more money for the club and for the minority shareholders.

He did the latter, and many consider it to be the wrong decision for not selling to DIC, of course many are working on the assumption that DIC would've been better for LFC than the Yanks, fact is we simply don't know.

One thing I do believe is that this club shouldn't have been sold to businessmen who have no connection to the club (as a fan, ex-player, etc) and or the city of Liverpool itself.

So on that count IMO he ****ed up, not by not selling to DIC, but by selling the club in the first place.

Whatever DIC would have done, they couldn't have come close to this pair of cunts. They're quoted as saying they would sort out the playing side and the stadium. That's all anyone asked, nothing more - that was why we were sold.

This has to be the big question that needs to be answered first. Why didn't Moores borrow to build the stadium? If he didn't have the acumen to do it why not hire some cunt to do it!

Why did he recommend selling to the yanks instead of DIC to the board? Was it because he was duped by the swanky yanks or was it because not only did he stand to make far more money personally but he and the other board members would keep honorary positions at the club allowing them to continue with there corporate tickets and free 5 course meal n champagne on match days?

I thought DIC pulled out when we had a board meeting to discuss the American offer? IIRC there were rumours the meeting happened behind the backs of DIC which is what led to them withdrawing their offer - meaning the only one on the table was that from G&H.

The why Moores didn't take a loan question is an interesting one but I think the clue is in the way he led us for his whole tenure - his heart was in the right place but he wasn't commercially minded or that sort of risk taker.

Something else about DIC: Even Hicks admits they discussed a minority share holding with the new owners. Is the general consensus that this was the first stage in their minds to a take over? I think this point along with the timing of that offer might say something about both the viability of the G&H model and what differences DIC might make.

Despite how it may come across I am open to persuasion that we are going to hell in a hand cart. I just happen to not be sure it is the case. For me the devil is in the detail - specifically the plans for possible revenue dips and to progress the team while paying for the stadium.

As I don't intrinsically think debt is bad (as some people seem to believe) this mostly seems to rest on the terms of our current refinancing package (Am I right in thinking that this lasts only 18 months?) and on any future further refinancing deals.
