I can't see that being anything other than a disaster for the club if that happens.

It would also prove what a lying, snivelling little weasel Gillett is, (as if we didnt know that already)

Care to elaborate on that mate?

The new ground might not even get full attendances, causing further reduction in turnover.

He can't afford to allow this to happen, yet I also cannot see where he is going to get the money to afford to bring in/keep the names needed to drive success season after season.

If Gerrard and Torres goes, along with others we have much reduced wage bill. It's party party party
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

CTR on Rawk suggests otherwise and untill he says DIC have completely done a runner and Hicks is the main man then maybe we should just leave spec alone.

I know NYR is also saying otherwise, and he has been good on info before, but CTRs info seems so different its very strange.

I don't think we should be surprised if Hicks is planning to make a counter-offer. It seems like a smart card to play at the negotiation table.

Likely to be a bluff though, surely?

Getting rid of them makes no sense from a business or footballing sense. Won't happen.

Has anyone totted up the add'l money we'll bet getting from the new TV deals etc. It'd be interesting to see how that compares with the interest payments which the echo reported as 30m.

I would not be surprised if Hicks pulls out of negotiations in the last minute, just to push the price.
He is a cunt, so there is bound to be some cuntishness.

Anyone concerned that with this potential new agreement with the Premier League for playing games overseas that Hicks and Gillet will either stick it out with us or turn it around on DIC and charge a higher price because they know that the income from this deal will be big? The announcement yesterday meant Hicks and Gillet held the aces.
They've won the league, bigger stars than Dallas, they've got more silver than Buckhingham Palace, no one knows quite what to expect, when the Red Machine's in full effect!

TBH I think there is so much upside for LFC that T&G will be here for the long-term. The issues they are facing are very short-term and we'll be throwing of cash left, right and center in the long-term.

It's good to be positive mate but at the moment, posts like this will fall on deaf ears in the most part.

theres being positive for the sake of being positive and theres being realistic, saying our issues are short term and there is so much upside for us is being very unrealistic.
