Sorry mate, no I didn't know of this article.Originally posted by baz87 View PostLOL i know all that. In case you didn't know there's been an article saying the Sheikh was a fan as a child and that he's taking a personal interest in the takeover.
However no matter how big a Liverpool fan Al-Ansari is, he will not pay OTT for us without the permission of the Sheikh. His job is to make good investments not to buy himself 'toys'.
I find it some what suprising that this didn't come out the last time they were bidding for us. Guess you're of the same opinion!
As for Al-Ansari, nobody knows the instructions he recieved with regards to LFC. There is two ways they can go, use LFC to promote Dubai by making them successfull, or use us to make a profit like the Yanks.
I have no problem with either option. My only problem with the Yanks is that they are either not rich enough or not willing to spend their cash. I bet Moores thinks he may as well stayed in charge if the Yanks pull this off!Forwards.......

im confused as to why youd say our problems are short term and apparently we have a bright future or at least something is bright about the future that would make you think we have so much upside,im assuming upside is a good thing?Originally posted by SpeedyG View PostYes, I don't understand what you are confused about. How anyone can say that our problems are short term if G&H stay is beyond me.
We will already pay £30m/year in interest and even if most of the next loan will be against future revenue and money for the name of the stadium we will still need to pay £30m plus the % of our future revenue stream every year.
That means more or less zero money left to sign players for a long time. No money for transfers from selling the name for the new stadium.
Man U who make the most profit in the world, soon over £100m in a two, three years time.
Say that we will make £70m in profit when we move to the new stadium.
£70m minus £30m minus the % of our revenue stream, minus paying off the loan, minus the money for the sponsored name of the shirts(will probably be the same as the name of the stadium), minus the CL money if we miss out on that.
Will more or less be zero left and we will probably make a big loss if we miss out on the CL even with the new stadium.
The problem is the loan G&H have taken against the club, that loan will cripple the club a long time.
Luckily enough G&H will be gone before the above scenario will happen.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Hicks did say he was going to become more activeOriginally posted by DomL View PostCTR on Rawk suggests otherwise and untill he says DIC have completely done a runner and Hicks is the main man then maybe we should just leave spec alone.
I know NYR is also saying otherwise, and he has been good on info before, but CTRs info seems so different its very strange.

From my uni assignment i found that they're very much investors however they're a completely different type of investor. Unlike G&H they're not looking for a (fairly) quick return through immediate profits or resale, they are looking to invest in worldwide organisations (like you say to promote Dubai) which will prove to be steady longterm investments (not 10+ years but possibly 100+ years) to safeguard the future of Dubai.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostSorry mate, no I didn't know of this article.

Regarding the Sheikh, in all my research i saw no mention of any interest in football (the guy's horse and camel crazy) let alone Liverpool, like i said at best he has a passing interest.
Ansari and the rest of DIC will not invest in us if G&H demands are deemed OTT, however if the Sheikh is taking an interest in us as an investment (he usually does with all investments) and he decides that we are worth whatever G&H are demanding then he will go against any advice given to him and he will buy us.
I am not convinced that he personally has any interest in us as a football club nor do i believe that he sees us as a "no matter what the costs" investment and therefore a deal will only be done if DIC and G&H reach an agreement that suits them both. However i do think a deal will be struck, the way in which things have unfolded it seems to me as if it was G&H's plan all along to buy the club cheap, hang on for a while and then sell it for a very nice and very quick profit.

Fair enough Milkman if you have heard something that says he is deffinatly staying, but CTR has been very possitive and other posters have backed up his info.Originally posted by The_Milkman View PostHicks did say he was going to become more active
Unless things have dramaticly changed since he posted his latest installement i have no reason to worry, hopefully.
