That was just amateurish. Do your ****ing homework boys and get your budget right.
The credit crunch caught out most of the banks,H+G didn`t see it coming. They now need to reassess their plans, bad timing is the problem. If they had bought us 5 yrs ago this would`nt be an issue, they would have built the spaceship.IMHO.

        Too convenient an excuse.

If you're buying a house you don't get a mortgage that is going to stretch you to the limit, the same can be said about the stadium. They tried to go too big and ****ed it up.

I have no idea how the ManU deal was done,As far as I know the glasers put all the dept on the club and depend on MaU`s sucess to pay back the loans and buy players.

With a new stadium G+H could do this.

P.S.....I would like to see Hicks gone because he isn`t British press savy and is the stereotypical Yank.Gillette seems a nice man.

But utd had the stadium and marketing in place that meant that their profit each year more than coverd the loan. We are not in this situation as the club has made losses most recent years.

The dollar is worth even less than it was a yr ago.Building materials are more expensive. The credit crunch. It all adds up.Be reasonable. It changes things and they`ve had to have a rethink.

yes but we dont generate anything like the cash the mancs do.
granted im sure its still a bit of a burden on them, but what with their stadium and merchandise revenue its something they can manage.

i think its plainly obvious that we wont be able to meet the requirements of the loan and at the same time build a stadium and be able to sufficiently support the manager in the transfer market.

The dollar is only very slightly worse than a year ago, would have to say though that the exchange rate will not effect the loan with RBS. Yes the cost of steel has more than doubled in the past year so this is of massive importance but the press are saying that the new loan will not pay for the new ground so this has no relevence at all (if press are correct). Hicks has said the credit crunch has not effected their loan so either he is being ecenomical with the truth or it has no relevence. The banks recognise that their plan is stretching the club too and beyond the limit and this is why most have run away from the plan.

It upset people. But they forget that we`re dealing with a Texan. They are stereotyped in all media as loud mouthed brash Yanks.I`m not 100% convinced that his interview was anything more than misguided honesty when asked a question. He may have thought that we`d apprieciate his honesty. It is conscievable that he is that Stupid/Naieve when it comes to the Brittish.Yanks would not have been so cynical if it was their team and manager he was talking about.IMHO.

I`ve been through this before and still want to "Wait and see" intead of getting greyer than I am.
In this game you can come back from 3-0 down in the 2nd half.Hopefully Dic or Kraft etc. will come riding in like SG did and rescue things.

He has a PR company working for him, he shouldn't be making these mistakes. They still shouldn't have done it at all never mind admit it. You think admitting it is the big problem, I think actually lining up Klinsman up as Rafa's replacement is the big problem on 2 fronts - thinking of getting rid of him like that and then planning on replacing him with someone with no track record.

Not to me. Gillette merely seems far more press savvy than Hicks. Gillette is a little weasel and a coward who has been complicit in pulling the wool over people's eyes. I'm not taking his cowardly silence to mean he is a nice man or has the fan's best interests at heart. Rememeber any of this:- "for us it's all about the fans", "if Rafa wants Snoogy Doogy we'll back him", waving ****ing dollars on ****ing tv. **** him too. He's a cunt. He brought in Hicks and he vouched for him. **** them both. They betrayed our board and previous owners, they betrayed the manager, now they're betraying the fans. **** them both. They'll never win my trust back, and they'll not get one further penny from me. I want them out now. I'm raging at these two ****s. I wish I had a vocabulary rich enough to describe my abolute, unmitigated contempt, disgust and hatred at these two cancerous leaches. But I don't. So I'll just repeat again, **** off out our club you yankee cunts

Anyway, I had a chat today and she told me not to pay attention to the denials as that's "standard practise".

Don't know whether she meant DIC or LFC or both.
I think it's right though, common sense tells you that they're going to deny the rumours in the press and I'm sure DIC would require that G&H play down speculation.
I suppose they won't want any rival bids again.

It does, & consider that the players bought so far have been with what was left over from their loan, they,ve done not 1 thing to convince me they will be anything but Bad News for Liverpool Football Club, Hick's especially.
