In terms of the amount of profit these two would have made in just under one year. I might be wrong but as far as I am aware they would both make a handsome profit if the mooted figure of £500m is correct.

Can someone else confirm how much they actually owe on the club - i thought it was the initial £220m plus interest over the last year which might be another £10m or so meaning £230 in total. There might be some additional credit notes for the purchases of torres, babel etc...

I'm pretty sure that the figures quotes are £350m, which means if they get £500m, they get £150m in their pockets. Not bad for a year's work really is it

I'm not sure pumpkin head will be so keen to sell...Hicks seems a bit like a stubborn ******* and as was said it the Post last week the very fact that Gillett has remained so silent through this whole affair is reason enough to be dubious of him also. Lets hope the rumors of a division between the pair is true or better still they decide to both jump ship.

do you think this number includes the cost of the stadium?
            We need better attacking players!

I think me and you spoke about this "bbc understands" term a while ago. I think it was at the time when we were in for Torres. Whenever they use this term you can put your house on it that there's alot of truth in this.

Hicks you better accept this and **** off back to yank land you ****wit.

Yes, but they didn't use the term "bbc understands". Trust me when they use this term more often than not it tends to be true.

Arabs surely wouldn't make a bid if they didn't feel there was a chance of getting it would they? Parry and Moores need to make up for the wrong decision now
Just a gut feeling mate and one I've had all this week.

Do H&G not owe the RBS £280m? And they've received a £500m bid? Call me stupid but surely they almost have to sell at that price?!

Yep, I remember. BBC Sport don't go out on a limb like this without good reason.

What happens on Monday night could well be crucial. If this bid fails and the owners decide not to accept, then there will not be another opportunity for some time, probably until after the stadium is built and has been running for a year or two as this is when the real value of the assets will climb. The primary focus from the owners point of view is will the value climb sufficiently to warrant hanging on, but if there is an unmistakable message from the fans that they are not wanted then it may make this offer seem like a better deal.

The fans reaction is also likely to influence Moores and Parry. If the original loan is agreed and taken out then Moores may feel he is left with no choice but to walk and let the world know his reasons - another huge media event fanning the flames of discontent among the fans. The threat of this may be enough for the Americans to take the money and run...

The guy who wrote that McNulty, didnt he use to write for the Echo a few years back?

I think Parry usually use him when he want to get things out.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
