It's definitely him. As mentioned earlier he used to be the assistant sports editor of the Echo.

Good point regarding Maddock and Barratt as well. It's definitely significant.

I'm pretty sure that the figures quotes are £350m, which means if they get £500m, they get £150m in their pockets. Not bad for a year's work really is it

£500m for a club that was worth £220m one year ago seems a little steep. If DIC did buy them out at £500m then what would the the implications on the investment into the team and stadium. Surely nobody can throw that kind of money away.

As for giving those two £150m between them - what a tragedy that is. These two *******s come over here - **** with our club, our manager and generally cause chaos and then walk away with £75m each.

Jesus, they'll be teaching that as a takeover model at the London School of Economics under the heading - just plain lucky.

I'm buzzing too, shaking with excitement, but I really don't wanna get ahead of myself. As Chris has said this is just a bid....or a bid in the process of being made. I don't wanna get ahead of myself but I think I already have.

I always second guess myself, but i know a fair bit about DIC's business practises and when they pull out they nearly always stand by that. Remember, they could've had us for about 240 last year. They know what they lost and it hurts them - it didn't have to be that way and it's obviously festered! Even making a bid shows real guts determination and affection... OK, maybe that's OTT, but all things considering it's an Infinite improvement on Hicks. Note the fact that DIC have said **** all (ignoring all press) in the way of quotes of late - i like that, it bodes well! I'm of the opinion this is a match made in heaven. Again a gut feeling.
