Nope, I guess it isn't guaranteed, but I'm more hopeful of it being the case with DIC than with the current regime, especially if they are genuine fans as they say they are. To be honest even if they dont spend that kind of money, if they return a bit of dignity to the boardroom and the club as a whole then I'll be happy.White liquid in a bottle = Milk

Unless they want the fans to pressure Hicks into selling up....Originally posted by AFII View PostDIC would never release something like this if it wasn't almost a done deal IMO. The price would go up if they did that.

there was an article about 4 weeks ago which suggested that the sheikh was looking for support from Liverpool fans before making his move. I think it was also reported in the daily post. I dont think that we are that insignificant.Originally posted by PC Plod View PostI dont see that they would be concerned with us at this stage to be honest.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Thats not the Liverpool Way mate.Originally posted by carlton View PostNow would the perfect time for Moores to come and say he made a terrible mistake and that it would be in the best interests of all but especially the club for Hicks to sell.
No doubt Moores will speak to Hicks privately, and thats the way it should be.

If he's been paying the slightest bit of attention recently, he should know he has that support.Originally posted by el matador View Postthere was an article about 4 weeks ago which suggested that the sheikh was looking for support from Liverpool fans before making his move. According to Radish, DIC have people checking forums to see our opinions of themOriginally posted by DJS View PostIf he's been paying the slightest bit of attention recently, he should know he has that support.

It seems to me, that the two ways to understand these lines could be combined:
1. DIC has internally agreed on their maximum offer to Hicks. That will be their final offer.
2. DIC has been working - maybe together with G.Gillett - on agreeing a deal with Hicks - all quiet, all done as Hicks hs wanted to get out, but not wanted to be a girly-cowboy (like his compatriot in Washington). Now - as DIC allows this story to hit the headlines everything is in general agreed - and only terms of how the payment must be done etc. are left, so that Hicks can laugh all the way to Texas - and DIC will not risk their dignity and honour again by losing out against a non-muslim cowboy.
And then I'm pretty sure, that Gillett will sit back with a sell-off deal agreed abt. how his shares shall be sold to DIC over the next years - starting with maybe half next week and the rest over a year or two. That will leave him in the good company - and leave him with both money and a halfpositive image afterwards.
Hope this will happen asap - sooner than later - NOOOWWW!!!!- - - - -
