I posted this ages ago...........well earlier this week when all this started breaking it just seems like ages ago

DIC is the investment arm of the government of Dubai

The government of Dubai is the Al Makthoum family

Sheik Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the head of the family and therefore the head of the government

Sheik Mohamed is one of the few people on this planet who could refer to Roman Abramovitch as "being reasonably well off"

DIC is not there to make a profit ,per se, (but it has so many high profile businesses that it usually does) it is their to raise the profile of Dubai as a holiday destination, Dubai also like to be winners............ you only have to look at Godolphin to see how they like to win.

IMO IF they bought us they would market us and Dubai in such a way as we would be intrinsically linked together......... and the best way to keep our profile (and obviously their's) high is to make us winners.........therefore making a profit out of Liverpool FC is not their main agenda............making us succesfull is

    please please let this happen
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

I agree. DIC would buy us to help promote Dubai globally and Liverpool is a truly global club and brand.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

but i would also say that they arent there to make a loss either. they want a healthy and profitable business which comes from success on the pitch.

That is almost word for word what I heard
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

IMO that would just be a bonus in their eyes

the way I see it, Sameer al-Ansari wants the club, not the Sheik
"What's your favourite Beatles album then?"
"I think I'd have to say....Best of the Beatles"

Surely Al-Ansari is the public face of DIC. Would be rare for the sheik to be out in front no?

Also can't imagine Al-Ansari being allowed to make a solo run on us as a personal project.
You can agree with me, or you can be wrong.

IMO, we need to make this a major story on Sky and all the others before the Monday game. The owners need to see their name in tatters outside Anfield. We need to see fans being interviewd by the press all saying that the Americans were a major cock up but all would be well if the Arabs came along and backed Rafa, banners hanging from the Shankly gates etc.

The message needs to be so loud and clear that contemplating holding onto the club is just too unattractive an option.

Apparently, some Arabic media companies are reporting that Hicks himself is the one who invited DIC to make this bid.

I think many of us have underestimted Rafa's role in all of this. I know I have. In hindsight it would seem that Rafa's played a blinder in the media. Sounds like he purposely provoked the Yanks and they took the bait. Ever since that day fans started to turn and that gathered momentum. I only saw the light after the Klinsmann revelations....

                              yes

but what I mean is.... in my opinion, its the fact that Al-Ansari is a red is why they are back. I think it may be due to a special request

Uncanny. I've also been starting to think...."hang on, Rafa might well have played a ****ing blinder here!".
