I love Rafa mate but it's a bit of a stretch to give him credit for orchestrating an international takeover of the club. Rafa just wanted more money for players. End of

      Sounds promising
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Erm i think you are stretching things a bit here... that much speculation can mess with your head.

That is exactly how I see it. It was his only route for survival.

            I think you're bang on

If Ansari wasn't a red I doubt they'd be back in.

to be honest if he was that smart he'd be in melwood in a big leather chair, stroking a white cat and laughing one of those evil movie laughs....and we'd be 15 points clear.

he has looked quite smugly satisfied in the more recent interviews though
"At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don't come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques"

I'm certain it helps yes. Otherwise they could go after any old run of the mill club and build them up. Chelsea is a good example.

But there would still need to be a huge potential in the club for return on investment and IMO there is enormous untapped potential. Hence the renewed interest.

That would've been one hell of a gamble on rafa's part.

apologies, I temporarily went into AF mode there

It's more of a theory than anything else.

Well, I think that DIC have decided that they want a high profile sport club. Football is the biggest sport in the world and we are the best target right now. Real, Barca or Man U really isn't realistic targets and that means that we are next in line after them.

We need to see fans being interviewd by the press all saying that the Americans were a major cock up but all would be well if the Arabs came along and backed Rafa, banners hanging from the Shankly gates etc.

The message needs to be so loud and clear that contemplating holding onto the club is just too unattractive an option.
how can we get this message across to the media without looking like a bunch of american flag burning fundamentalists.

                            It's a little far fetched but it's a possibility.

Get big placards and American flags, burn them and start stamping on them like they do in Asian countries when there's a massive outcry about something, that'll get noticed!!!

Sounds like he knew all long that they`d got a bargain and could bail out with a huge profit. Some big company was always gonna be intereseted in LFC if Hicks wanted out.
