I fail to see any positives we can draw from Hicks and the lack of success he's had with either the Rangers or Stars. The fact that these fans hate him is probably a fair indicator, would you not say?

Plus it's very puzzling how he believes that winning championships isn't important to be successful, i think Shanks and Paisley must be turning in their graves at that comment!

If G&H stays then they will put in enough money so we will be able to compete for a CL place but never to be able to compete for the title. That is what Hicks do with the Dallas Stars and Gillett with Montreal. They have a good team in the regular season but don't put in the extra money to sign up the quality players a team need to win the Stanley Cup the last weeks before the trading deadline, players that will be out of contract after the season but that you can get on a free if you are prepared to pay the players wages.

They compete but don't really have any chance to win it.

Unfortunately it's clearly not as cut and dried as that. I think the fans will have a huge part to play on Monday night. For the first time since Hillsborough what happens off the pitch is far more important than what happens on the pitch on Monday night.
