Whether there is anything in it or not, it is still an angle for a journalist to seize upon and put the pressure back on Hicks.
It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

Interesting to note he hasn't mentioned GG in this statement, he has in the past, in fact pretty sure he usually does.

Does that mean that George has received an offer or does it mean that Hicks doesn't actually know?

Why would they be in Anfield when the owners are in the states

Bit dubious myself but it is possible I suppose. I think he is just answering a direct question.

I believe the terms of the agreement are that each of them gets first dibs on the others shares, so if one decides to sell the other can get the shares before anyone else. So if George has received an offer he would be obligated to inform Hicks.

Nothing changed despite what the hillbilly is saying. The cunt is making one last stand to get the valuation he wants.

I don't know what price he wants, or if he wants to retain some shares. But he is being a cunt despite everyone else wanting him gone and him agreeing to sell. Gillett needs to grow some balls.

That seems to be the general opinion Jim... But if Gillett is backed by D.I.C then he'd not need to inform the gob****... But I doubt Gillett has the balls to side with anyone but Hicks... He fears him and imo is worried what Hicks would do to him business wise thereafter...

Need to get a campaign going to let the US Media, particularly in areas Hicks and Gillett have their interests, know all about the *******s.

Hicks needs to be able to say, "I won," before he'll leave, his ego dictates it. But if he gets a lot of bad press, he'll want out to shut us all up.

Do you know if Gillett has agreed to sell?

Thats the only way I can see anything happening, if Gillett makes it happen.

If they are pricing the shares based on what they believe the value of the club to be then he could simply say "Tom, I'm not going to sign the loan agreement because it places the debt on the club, but DIC have offered to buy my shares and I have accepted an offer for 250 Million for my shares. You can match that or I'm selling up" .

There is no way that Hicks can borrow the money to purchase the shares and get the loan to refinance the original purchase so he is up the creek without a paddle in that sense.

DIC could then offer Hicks the same price to buy out his shares and they now own Liverpool FC for 500 million.

In short, if George doesnt play the game then we are hosed.

******, he's torturing us, he could deny it without using words like 'the story is a complete fabrication' it sounds so definate, a story like this does'nt start from nothing surely, ffs it must be true, IT SIMPLY MUST. I cant bear the thought of it not being now after all this. It's hard on the head this ****.
