    You're a bit slow aren't you Darren.
Actually it's exactly what you said to me in the first luton thread a couple of weeks back were I "speculated" that the off pitch goings-on were affecting performances. Of course I was way off on that one

Hello all, i have a bit of an update that i heard today but this is the first time i have been able to access a PC.

Anyway am sticking my neck out here, so i don't want people to start asking questions as what i know and what i can divulge is in this post.

Basically DIC are now in direct contact with the owners in a bid to buy Kop Football Ltd, advisors who worked on the previous deal are working closely with them to broker the right deal for all partys. Direct dialogue is now taking place and it is hoped that providing everything is right DIC will make a formal bid for the club may be in the next few days.

However it is believed Hicks may use the interest to secure his loan, i.e. meaning he is able to show the bank there is a way out if it goes wrong.

I have to also point out that dispite rumours of a rift between Gillet and Hicks this is very wrong and they are still working closely on securing their refinance package deal hence the above.

Also on a different note, these Crouch rumours have more back bone to them then you think and i know Harry Redknapp has denied it but there has been contact between the clubs.
Sounds about right and the lad is reliable normally but that bit about Hicks using DIC as leverage is utter nonsense. DIC and RBS are big boys and won't fall for little games like that and Tom Hicks won't play that with them.

You still convinced it will happen within days then?

I believe the person that told me, those were his words.

Anything can happen in between though. I couldn't 100% tell you what my missus was going to do next let alone what DIC/Hicks will do!! But I am convinced of my source who is 99% spot on and has been for the past 2 months on this. DIC will get us, hopefully in the next few days... if not very soon.

            Like I can remember that?!

Anyway, just because Mr Insecure confirmed that 'off-field stuff doesn't help' doesn't mean they're suddenly playing like **** because of it.

I find it hard to believe Carragher was considering the pros and cons of leveraged buy-outs while Marlon ****ing Harewood scored with an overhead kick, and Aurelio certainly wasn't trying to work out what DIC would have to offer to buy the club as the ball bounced off him and in.

They might bid for us in a few days, I cant see how they can possibly get us within a few days though.

Anyone who thinks DIC wont put the club in debt or put the debt on the club isnt thinking straight. They are an investment company and they will be looking to get the maximum return for their investment. Even if they put 500 million of thier own money in to the club, they will expect a substantial return on that investment.

They didnt pump a billion in to EADS because they like airplanes.

The Arabs will not be like Abramobitch and dump countless millions in to the club with little or no hope for a return.

But still a much better option than these 2.

There is a big difference though. Ansari said "the global credit issues don't effect DIC" - that is some statement. They also have £12 Trillion in stock. Thats huge. Finally, it isn't just Ansari who is a fan, 4 other board members are too. They will run us a business but they won't be begging for money and there won't be a risk of us doing a Leeds.

I'm torn between 'won't make a blind bit of difference, other than 6 months to a year of novelty' and 'will be excellent'. Quite a contrast, I'm sure you agree

We need to see what they'd propose to do before demanding the current owners **** off and sell to them

                            Oh hang on

Sentiment plays a huge part in business. Based on what Rash says above we'd have to be better off with DIC in charge.

A ****ing men, it isnt like thier own personal fortunes are riding on the outcome of the take over. Company I work for is currently in the middle of merger mania and we have just been told we are being sold off this year but I still do my job 40 hours a week. Using off the field problems between the owners and the banks is no excuse for a poor performance.
