I don't think DIC would have any choice but to go back to the drawing board.

Does anybody really want the Tom Hicks' Tex-plex casting it's considerable shadow over Stanley Park for the next century?

But equally, would anybody prefer the comparitively bland AFL design?

After all these years and all that money, I still don't think we have the right design.
It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

I love the original HKS design, and also like their latest one. I'd be very happy to go with it, and I think a majority of the our supporters would be also.

I think both AFL designs were disastrous.

If DIC do buy the club, and reasonably quickly before the new planning permission is in place and work on the new stadium ha begun, I wouldn't be surprised to see all existing plans being ripped up and new designs being commissioned and the whole process starting from scratch

                  Good article- very worrying.
                  3rd place. Worst champions ever.

We can only hope that happens, i would bet that they would come up with a design better than what we have at present. I liked the 1st HKS but hate the 2nd Cheap version.

When Anfield is demolished, we stand to lose so much more than bricks-and-mortar.

As I see it, we have to incorporate as much of our tradition, as many memories and the essence of our identity as best as we possiblly can into the new stadium for the move to be worthwhile.

I don't see how we can do that with the HKS design, however impressive it is. It will be Hicks' legacy. A permanent reminder of his time as co-owner; what he did for us and what he did to us.

DIC will have their own stadium design done and dusted already when they buy the club.

We will never see the HKS stadium being built.

                        IMO.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

You mean the same Anfield that was Evertons ground first?

It doesn't matter so much the origins of the ground, it's the magic that happens in it that counts i.e. European nights, derby wins, etc

I see no point in posting on any other thread... so many have been hijacked.

Everyone is anxiously waiting news.. so am I.

                              Be patient.

DIC are still in talks. Their big guns are now involved too. As are the smaller players.

A lot of hurdles to be cleared... but the progress has been very positive. All parties feel that a deal is very, very close.

My source is in London this weekend to meet all involved, which includes high officials from DIC and the AmericanSSSS.

Don't be surprised if the AmericanSSSS are represented at the match on Sunday.

So, its all good so far, but just wait it out.

The situation is the same. DIC want the club, the Yanks want to sell but they are far apart on the valuation and that is the hold up. Nobody realised that Hicks and Gillett would play such hard ball with DIC and with eachother. Matter of days could be weeks or months as DIC simply won't pay over the odds but also won't go away. It is obvious they are playing a media game too.
