Maybe he has a desire only to play for Liverpool at the moment.
My real point is that it's easy for any of us to say someone else should give up £45k a week (or however much it might be) but really you need to put yourself in his shoes. Also, he's a professional, you're looking at it as a fan. That's not to say I don't understand your frustration about it but you can't blame other people for not having the same attitude towards football as you..

I can see both sides of the argument - but 'd imagine financially he is sorted for life now - if he's had good advise. He's starting to age for a footballer (29) so might not have too many years left to play the game.
Now, if he is sorted for life financially, then I can't see why they haven't given him a pay-off (50% of his remaining contract) and said good-bye. It has to be the Diao camp preventing that happening, which is sad, if he is made.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1
