It`s a move often used by Rambo in his new movie.
I`m actually trying to figure out how I managed to type that, i think I just invented a new word

I was wondering how you managed to type it. Presumably you wanted to type 'Backing' but you ended up typing 'ackong'. You either have the harshest form of dyslexia ever to grace these forums or you're a complete nutter.Originally posted by Resu View Post

I listened to it and my take on the whole thing was that once again it was a wholly pointless exercise. For gods sake man if you are coming out to refute something be concise, clear and assured, not the bumbling unconvincing idiot you appear to be.
That has made me think with more belief that he/they really are looking for outs.
If they were looking to sell 15% to DIC then to me that doesnt smack of confidence in their own financial state and as such probably is like blood to a shark.
Good stuff, I think by Summer 2009, hopefully before, we will have new owners.
Now Rafa, try and make us succesful in that period please.

I'm with you on that. I'm dissapointed about the way things have gone, and my skepticism will no doubt remain for sometime, or until we are re-purchased and I have new owners to be skeptical about (having previously been skeptical about the business acumen of the Moores regime).Originally posted by Nicey View PostBut honestly the way I am feeling now and these days, I am prepared to say feck it !! However everything is that is currently being discussed is very much in the unknown. The Stadium, investment in the playing staff and Rafa's future are all things to come and without having travelled to the future and come back again I suppose there is no reason why I should doubt that the above couldn't be accomplished in the way Hicks suggests.A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

3) he chose to give a RADIO interview. he seemed shifty even on this medium. i reckon hed have been transparently "lying" if we could have seen his face/body language.Originally posted by kurtangle01 View PostTwo key points in the interview an neither of them were what Hicks said.
1) He told the BBC that he wouldn't talk about the finance deal before the inerview started according the the shows host. Why?
2) When asked if he could see himself here in 5 years he reacted with a nervous cough and then...'yeah, ofcourse'
I wasn't convinced by what he had to say today.
again...my read is that this is "hostile takeover mode".....he must keep up his public reluctance to sell then eventually hell say..."i got such an amazing offer from DIC that, very reluctantly i had to sell in the best interests of the club"drunk knows best

Well racks up another lie for the fat lying texan.
"I haven't received any offer to purchase the club from the DIC or anyone else, much less accepted any such offer. Nor do I have any intention of doing so.
The Texan admitted speaking to DIC "a few months ago" about a "10% to 15% participation" in the club but DIC felt the price was too high.
"They would have been a minority investor and we would have used that capital to build a new stadium. We'll find other ways to capitalise the new stadium,"
