Some of you must have listened to a different interview. He didn't sound convincing at all. Quite clear that we have no money from the stadium and he's going to try and find it from somewhere, somehow, but sounded clueless.

Also was apparently talking to DIC on Friday after the re-financing had been sorted according to Richardson, but told them that he hadn't spoken since when he tried to sell the 15%

Said he wants to stay at Pool for a long time then seemed open to selling 15% again. Also said no major disagreement with Gillett but then it was said they'd had a big falling out but it was sorted out (Richardson said this)

The guy is in way over his head. If he gets offered a way out he'll take it. Seems to have been a total breakdown with Gillett. DIC's way in maybe through Gillett I think and then they'll take Hicks too

      Simple law of exclusive interviews......

The one being interviewed gets to make the rules on what questions get asked. Break the rule, never get another interview.

        2) When asked if he could see himself here in 5 years he reacted with a nervous cough and then...'yeah, ofcourse'

I wasn't convinced by what he had to say today.

People are happy cos of the Mascher thing. At the end of the day I wouldn't spend £17m on a defensive midfielder when we need new full-backs, new wingers and another striker. I think that's one of Rafa's major problems, buying for wrong position

Sorry - back to the thread.....
In fairness you've been 100% consistent with your views on whether Mascher is worth 17 million quid or not.

One thing I would say, given Momo's just been sold for 10 million, Hargreaves/ Carrick cost about 18 million then maybe Mascherano's valuation is within the current market range.
              Exactly.

The other point I was going to make, but I totally forgot at the time of posting, was that, according to the host of the show, negotiations were taking place with DIC as recently as Friday...

If true, they don't have much faith in this refinancing deal, do they?

This was my favorite quote by him

Interviewer: You mentioned the internet and blog campaigns against you, so i take it you were looking at what being said?

Hicks: Absolutely. Plus if i ever get my hands on that ****ing wind up merchant Rashid i will **** him. They are a gang on pricks on that Est1892

Reporter: Mr Hicks, are you prepared to sanction Mascherano's 17 million pount transfer

                        Mr Hicks: ABSOLUTELY
I dont think the Masch will sign anyway. He knows like we all know Rafa wont be here next season. I think the main reason for him liking it here is Rafa

Parry or Moores must be involved, These DIC leaks must be coming indirectly from them.
How else would they BBC 5 live know these sort of details unless its someone from DIC.

Maybe so. I guess only time will tell whether a) Hicks is still our owner come next season and/or b) Rafa is still our manager.

I think there is a fair chance Rafa will be here at start of next season.
-it will cost a lot of money ackong him
-if they are looking to sell to to DIC then they won`t sack him. If new buyers looks to built on Rafa it would be madness for the sellers to sack him. If the new owners want a new manager then G&H will leave it to up to them.
                              - If we fail to reach the CL next season the Rafa could be sacked, but that would mostly be down to lack of results

Sounds like some crazy martial arts move. I know Rafa's pissed them off but I reckon ackonging him would be a little harsh
