Thanjk you.

Not heard what he had to say, but have read this thread. Two observations:-
1) No chance of Rafa staying beyond this season with these two at the helm
2) G&H are experts at telling the fans what they want to hear and pushing their agenda. Anything Hicks says (and Gillett for that matter) needs to be taken with a huge pinch of salt.
But honestly the way I am feeling now and these days, I am prepared to say feck it !! He has said what I wanted to hear, he has no more get out of jail free cards, lets draw a line under this mess and get back to business and football
Let's see what happens now.
Weird that the loan is only 18 months - more refinancing in 2009 then?!
Quote of the year :
"With monkey me, dogface dishwasher bitch and chimp the ****ing champ you. We are turning into a raving party here arent we"
The thing about that interview is he is going to look an even bigger cunt now if we don't sign Mascher or he doesn't back Rafa in the transfer market, by publically announcing it on national radio is he has left himself wide open for more ridicule and abuse.
On a side note just what were his motivations for doing such an interview, what was the best he was hoping would be achieved from it?
Yeah? Interested are you? Well, I hope you enjoy listening to his empty words that mean absolutely nothing. If you think anything he has to say is interesting and/or worth listening to then more fool you. Every word that comes out of his mouth is a lie.
But go ahead, continue to live in your merry, happy, blissful world where these ideal custodians of our club unequivocally back the manager, always act with the dignity, humility and integrity becoming of Liverpool chairmen and make personal sacrifices for the good of the club :whatever:
Listen bollocks, did I say anywhere in my post that would believe anything? It amusses me that for months now some people have been banging on about him making some kind of direct statement, and when he does its treated with contempt, so why ask?
Your mind is like a parachute, if it's open it works, if it's closed it doesn't. Simple. I listen to learn, to understand. I have confidence in my ability to reason things out by myself, so I dont need to be told by you or anyone else who is and isnt lying.

He didn't seem shifty to me, i don't think there was anything wrong in that interview.
Exaxtly. I am as pissed off about what has gone on as anyone, but people are just jumping up and down now because they don't like the guy. And they are also starting to believe the snippets that are being added by the MEDIA after the interview. He said everything that we wanted to hear. Now he better put up. We knew he was in it for the money from the very start so why are people on here so surprised by that. Of course Maschers transfer (if it happens) will be paid for from the loan - what did anyone expect. As has already been said, it's time for us to do our job and get behind the team. Hicks knows what he has to do, and God help him if he ****s up.
Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks has insisted he plans to retain his stake in the club for the foreseeable future.
"There is no question in my mind that I will still be an owner of Liverpool Football Club in five years," he told BBC 5 Live's Sportsweek programme.
Liverpool have been the subject of speculation about a possible takeover by Dubai International Capital.
Hicks said that was never a "serious possibility" but the BBC understands he was in contact with DIC last Friday.
It is not clear what that conversation was about but Hicks said: "I can't think of a price where I would be interested in selling."
The Texan admitted speaking to DIC "a few months ago" about a "10% to 15% participation" in the club but DIC felt the price was too high.
"They would have been a minority investor and we would have used that capital to build a new stadium. We'll find other ways to capitalise the new stadium," he said.
Hicks, who along with fellow owner George Gillett took over the Reds in March 2007, confirmed a £350m refinancing package was put in place last week, with £105m of that as debt tied to the club.
Of that total, £45m will be used for future player transfers and to meet the club's working capital needs, while BBC sports editor Mihir Bose said £60m will provide the start-up money for the new ground.

"The refinancing will provide the capital for the next year-and-a-half to take the stadium move forward," added Hicks.
He repeated his backing for manager Rafa Benitez despite revealing earlier this month that he held talks with German Jurgen Klinsmann in November about taking over as manager in case the Spaniard left the club.
"We have a great manager who has our support," he said.
"After our meeting on 16 December he has shown his strong intent to do the right thing by the club.
"Rafa's got a contract for two more years and hopefully he'll stay for longer."
I'm in the "wait until the end of the season" camp on this one.
Where we finish, who he sells and who he brings in.
I thought Hicks said all the right things as you would expect and it sounds as if he wants to win the fans over big time and will let his actions off the pitch do the talking from here on in.
the thing is given his past why should anyone believe a word he says.....nothing he says now means anything.
that's the crux of the matter for me.
"At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don't come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques"
