Reads like one!Originally posted by Rocket View Postis this a windup?
What did people really expect? There are precious few people around like Abramovitch (thankfully) and most people here didn't want one of those! My worry is that DIC or whoever buy us will run the club in the same way.
What I seem to remember is people asking for was a club that was well run, with a modern, large capacity stadium and a large but not obscene transfer budget.
We want trophies and a chuffing big Kop scaring the bejesus out of the opposition, a bastion of invincibility if you like!I don't need a lift, I need ammunition

I'll tell you why Milky. Mate of mine was sick of being TOLD to sing out against G&H instead of concentrating on supporting the team todaly and had to be quite forceful in his refusal.(he's a big lad, so he can!!) If thats 'reclaim the Kop' you can shove 'em here the sun don't shine. I cant stand the attitude thats starting to prevail where you must tow the party line. I didnt vote for these *******s so they can **** off- you listening Rashid?Originally posted by The_Milkman View PostLiverpool fans starting turning on eachother in the Kop today

I think today, many fans simply wanted to watch the match rather than express their disapproval of G&H. I don't think yesterday's announcement has softened many fans views towards them, its just for now many have simply had a bellyful of G&H, DIC, refinancing, the credit crunch, etc etc. On monday, most fans wanted to express their anger, today many didn't and being told to join in is not the way forward. There will be more protests etc and rightly so but for today many felt enough is enough lets simply support our team.
I'm not saying its right or wrong but that how I think most fans felt today.AKA Heighway No9

What a ****in idiotic senile drama queen
Ok so the new owners are wanks and have clearly made mistakes but yesterday's news was quite good. It put uncertainty out the road and set our targets and goals for the future. Like i said yesterday, the deal presented financially is a very good one.
I dont like them much but im willing to give them a chance to prove their credentials. If they fail to keep their promises then we'll make them pay and their will be no shortage of buyers should they need to sell

Do you mind explaining why the deal presented yesterday is quite a good one? Cos I'd be interested in seeing what positives there are from a deal that in all likelihood means our yearly transfer kitty is going to go on loan repayments as opposed to new signings.Originally posted by -V- View PostWhat a ****in idiotic senile drama queen

I have stood and sat in the Kop for fifty years, through its greatest, its humblest (some on here may not realise we were in the old second division within the living memory of most Liverpool supporters) and most tragic times. It must of affected something.
I think you are close. I have no idea how much influence Pako himself had but the fact that Rafa had a trusted RH man is what's missing.
We can all sit here and hypothesise how much Pako going affects the team but we have to also consider how it has affected Rafa. They worked together for 11 years and had tremendous success.
Rafa now needs to reestablish his working schedule and if it is true he hasn't been allowed to reappoint someone of his choice (Sammy Lee, apparantly) that is one of the biggest disgraceful acts these two muppets have made and that is saying something.
I am not saying I know this for a fact but if true it is proof to me they have no interest in the teams performance if it comes at Rafa's expense.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Anyone who thinks yesterdays relevations relaxes concerns hasn't thought it through. We are still a club placed in a very precarious position. I want DIC in because if we struggle to make payments, they will make them. Their is no way they would allow us to go under IMO.
I do not have the same level of confidence Hicks and Gillett would do the same, infact it is pretty ****in far away from the same.
I have other reasons for wanting G&H out but the one above is paramount.Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

It's quite ironic that the majority of fans asked for Moores to sell up to investors for many years due to a lack of exploiting our commercial revenue and maximising the money generated by the club. Now it's happened and people want to boycott the club, doesn't make a huge amount of sense to me. I've got big reservations as to whether Hicks is the right man to take the club forward, however the decision to sell has been made and as supporters there's little we can do about this.
As to blaming Hicks and Gillett for the teams performance on the pitch, well that's just laughable. The buck, IMO, stops with Rafa and to a lesser extent the players. After all we've been pretty woeful in the league for many years before H&G bought our club.
