    £38.4m - Liverpool

we're bringing in a fraction of what the others are. How people can still expect us to be competing with them after looking at these figures is beyond me. We're in the same bracket as the likes of Everton rather than these top 3 teams. Just shows how much we really need that new stadium and how much all this dithering over it has cost us.
That really is a frightening statistic. Purely based on that we are overachieving by being part of a "top 4".

Well under half of what Arsenal and Man Ure make, no wonder we cant compete, we dont have a hope until we get this new stadium built

They must be wrong as Arsenal are taking more on a match day than Man u, they cahrge twice the amont fr tickets and have more boxes than anyone. You can see the benefit of the stadium when you see this though, with the extra boxes and having a capacity just less than united we should be looking at making the same/more than them on match day.

Perhaps United played more games at home last season?

Arsenal's cheapest season ticket is £1100, united's is £600. Arsenal have a lot more boxes than anyone as well. I'm sure the only reason Arsenal caught up was the new grond as well so the numbers look wrong.

I mean, for a start, they get on average about 6000 fewer through the gates than we do, which would nullify at least some of the margin in gate receipts.
They operate the Chelsea Village which someone told me is quite profitable as a hotel/entertainment business. Their cheapest tickets are double our average price - it all adds up and when you add in the fact that corporate visitors to games will bring in a lot of extra per person revenue and I imagine in London there will be a greater number of these it starts to seem quite possible.

Yes, I hear what you're saying but United played more games at Old Trafford last season than Arsenal did at the Emirates, at a guess. (I don't want to be filthy and actually look for the stats though.... )

Bit difficult to win the top trophies if you cant compete for top players on a regular basis.

To be successful requires money to snaffle the best players.

You could argue that our FA Cup and Champions League wins were mere anomalies in an otherwise relentless match to the team which spends the most winning the majority of trophies...

Why ? We've won plenty of trophies in the past.
