Where was this supposed deflection? ITV were going on about it and teletext have also commented on it but I have seen the goal about 7 or 8 times now and can't see that it deflected off anyone? Credit where it's due I thought it was a good finish by Dirk.

Mate, that's what they'd have done with 11 only they would have offered a threat from the odd counter

Actually two pens. Cordoba handball at the start of the game and the Vieira handball in the second half, both clear cut penalties.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Under Maicon's leg. Thats what took it over the keeper.

              Definitely a deflection mate

Was still a good hit from Dirk though, and as he hit it into the ground may have done the keeper anyway.

They had two up top before the sending off. After it, Cruz dropped into midfield

Not the quickest but he's a very good footballer.
Finnan is incredibly slow. The only reason he got in behind was because of the defender being wrong footed.

He's not that good. He's tidy and efficient

Nah, Cordoba was already arse over tit, would have been very harsh to give that one.

there was definitely a deflection....it didnt deviate of its original line, but it added a bit of pace, and made the ball skid of the turf.

It deflected off the underside of Maicon's leg.

Took it over the keeper's head. He would have stopped it otherwise.
