You'll find that a hell of a lot on here. A player can be dreadful for months and get slagged off left right and centre, but as soon as he scores/assists/plays a half decent game he becomes a "legend" and all of a sudden has a "fan club". I'm not saying LFC fans on this sitre are fickle but......well, the really are!
It works both ways too. I remember Crouchy being praised and people demanding he get some starts for the club. And then, because he didn't score when he did start he gets slagged off and people want Kuyt (who still wasn't scoring) back in the team. Ludicrous.

Well I've never slagged Dirk off and yes he has been ****e but credit where it's due. He had a great game last night, he's scored in the last 2 games. Maybe it's the confidence boost he needs so why carry on slagging him off??

WTF? No one has said he is a legend or anything, they are just giving him credit for a good performance, as Liverpool fans should do.

But refusing to give someone credit when they play well against the form team in Europe because they've had a dire run of form is a balanced and objective viewpoint?

I respect your right to have an opinion Carheex but you just happen to be wrong about this.

I didn't see it that way.

All i saw was the same Kuyt, running around and producing very little until the miss hit, deflected goal.(To which i am really grateful for).

The trouble is, he didn't have a good game so why does he deserve credit for that? fine, he got a lucky goal but I still can't wait to see him playing for a club like fulham where he belongs.

From where I was sat on the Kop he had a very good game. I think people are just set on slagging him off regardless of whether he has a decent game or not.
