Antonio Barragan - interesting from Wikipedia. "On 4 August 2006, it was reported that Liverpool had sold Barragán to Deportivo de La Coruña for £680,000. However, Liverpool reserved the right to buy Barragán back if they wished after 2 or 3 years for £475,000".
If he progressed as I thought he might .. and he showed any desire to come back, then he might be a timely arrival .. I'd think he would be some way ahead of Insua. So we'd have a talented young full back on each side.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

"Joxer" as he is commonly known as, played at youth level for Lourdes Celtic before moving to the famed Liverpool academy in 2003 under the guidance of Steve Heighway. He made quick progression at Liverpool and before long was a regular in the reserves. Despite this, he got homesick and returned to Dublin where he joined Bohemians.

He made his league debut on April 1 2005 in a 1-0 defeat by Derry City and soon became an integral part of the side. He played mostly on the wing under Gareth Farrelly but has moved into centre midfield under Sean Connor.

"Joxer" has represented Ireland at many underage levels and was voted Under-19 Player of the Year at FAI Awards in 2006.

He captained the Irish Under-21 team in all three of their games in the Madeira tournament in early 2007.

Might be still at Millwall but still socialises in Liverpool. After the Sunderland game a few weeks back a few of us went down to the Blue Bar at Albert Dock and a couple of the lads spotted this absolute dinger - real WAG material. Of course I had to spot that she was with Zac Whitbread

Coincidentally later that night we were waiting for a taxi home just off Matthew St and one of the lads disappears around the corner to drain the lizard - on the way back hears some blond bird behind him coming out of a bar / club saying "babes, where did we leave the car?" and turns around to see Crouch walking out behind her. I started having a go at him calling him a dick for talking to Crouch when Abi was there beside him until he pointed out I'd done the same only hours earlier

Think there's something wrong with us to be honest

Great stuff this Shags, but **** me i'm getting no work done at all now!!!!!!!

Couple of bits for you all, apologies if theyve been covered before.......................

Karl-Heinze Reidle runs a football academy in Germany I think. He was quoted as saying that he'd love to unearth a future superstat for us, nice guy.

Glen Hysen is a bookmaker of some sort I believe, in Sweden, so maybe our Scandanavian friends can help with that one.

I can confirm that Rob Jones' missus is indeed very fit! Seen her a few times around Warrington as thier nurserys arent far form me.

Ronny Rozenthal is an agent for several players, as someone said before.

Avi Choen...............is high up in the Isreali FA,as was involved in some way in Avram Grants move to the prem.

Anyone remember Dave (?) Waddell?? made only a couple of appearances for us in the 70's, but on one of them scored the only goal in the goodison derby, at the street end!!!
            Forever a legend!!

That'd be Alan Waddle. Remember him well. Gangling, beanpole centre-forward, very much a prototype Crouch only without the 'good touch for a big man' and impeccable dancefloor technique. And a haircut clearly inspired by The Glitter Band.

I think the idea was that he would be a suitable stand-in for Toshack, who was becoming very injury-prone towards the end of his Anfield career, but he was nowhere near the required standard. But will always be thought of kindly for the Derby winner, as you say (I think it was a bit of a fluke, if I remember correctly - bounced in off his head or something, though I could be wrong).

Think he may have joined Newcastle after leaving us, but again, that may just be my mind playing tricks on me.

He might be as well, but on quite a few occessions he's been mentioned on local radio about the odds he's giving on liverpool, and how its his line of work.

Well, he's still a bit of a worrier and his cholesterol is often too high but other than that, he's ok.

I've got a signed shirt from 2005. In amongst the signatures by Rafa, Sami, Gerrard, Luis Garcia, Alonso etc is.... Mark Smyth.

David Raven when he was at Liverpool was apparently on 19k a week.

Shame that players can get so close to the first team and then fall away. Must be hard for them to cope with.

I would doubt that very much.
