    Reina

Looking very dodgy at the moment. A bit concerning with a massive game on Tuesday. Do people think he's doing alright?

    Outstanding goalkeeper.

Don't get me wrong, I think he's a brilliant goalkeeper but he's looking a little dodgy at moments. Not what we usually expect from him as he's so reliable

Didn't put a foot wrong today imo. The goal we conceded should have been dealt by our defence.

I can see them playing Bendtner and Adebayor up front on Tuesday and slinging some high balls in. With Reina's current form, that's exactly what I'd do.

I think he's massively over rated. Only by LFC fans though. Neutrals see him for what he is - a decent keeper. Nothing more.

I think you have to be a pretty good keeper to win the golden glove award two years in a row.

His stats speak for themselves. And I'm not buying into this whole "The defence is that good that he doesn't have to do anything" bollocks.

Why not. It's very much part of the scenario. If Reina played for Newcastle, you'd notice the difference. Good keeper but not great.

Reina comes part and parcel of the defensive unit. Our back line goes to ****e whenever he is out of the side. He has broken just about every goalkeeping record at the club and it seems ridiculous to me to suggest that his quality hasn't contributed massively to that.

Who's suggesting that though? I think the guy who started the thread (and I) are just putting forward an argument that he isn't AS good as some people think. It's only human nature to see players as a little better than they actually are if they play for your team. Like Lucas for example. Some are on about him as being the future best player in the world Or even Voronin was being touted as a superstar earlier in the season becuase he had a handful of performances above his normal standard. No doubt there will be a shrine to plessil thread in a couple of weeks.

                        I really like him.

But i have to be honest and say that whenever we concede a corner or free kick around the box,i'm really worried.

I'm not sure if it's the goalie or our defending thats the problem though.

I just don't think a goalkeeper with a record like his can simply be labelled 'good'. If that was the case then every keeper we have had previously must have been OK to average considering he has overtaken them all in terms of clean sheets etc.

You're right that people can tend to overstate players' abilities, but I also think that people can be overly critical in an attempt to strike balance. Most of my bluenose mates would take him in a second, and that's saying something.

I think you have to be pretty weird to be aware such a thing existed.
