Reina is one of the best keepers in the world. He might not be the best but he is in the top 10.

He has been great for us as well since taking over from Dudek and I'd prefer to have him that pretty much any Premiership keeper with maybe the exception of Cech.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

He is looking nervy at the moment, as well as others i am deeply concerned when we concede corners or free kicks.

i think a good result against Arsenal will give the lad confidence, and touch wood this will be the last we hear of it

Reina is ace, but I know what you mean about crosses & high balls. As a sweeper, shot stopper & one on one tho he is amazing. He's still young- especially for a keeper- so mebbe he'll learn the crossy stuff.

Anyways, what happened to the whatever smiley? Was looking for that earlier today.

I go away for 2 weeks & we lose DJS & the whatever smiley? what's the world coming to?
            3rd place. Worst champions ever.

he's lost some confidence since he got beat at utd, especially the ronaldo header. the anxiety showed when he possibly should have come for the cross today or even on wednesday. Reina at the beginning of the season would have punched the ball 30 feet.

no-one's doubting his quality, the best goalies take mistakes in their stride, put it behind them and come back stronger. without a doubt he'll have his chance on tuesday

As someone said earlier, outstanding keeper, simple. In fact one of the best around. His standard for his age is simply staggering, give him 5 years and no-one will touch him.

he's only going to improve and become a massive assit for our club.

I posted this in the other thread....

You don't keep 54 clean sheets in 100 games if you are not a top quality keeper, you simply don't.

Goalkeeping isn't only about making brilliant saves, it's about organizing the defense, act like a sweeper and set up quick counter attacks.

Name one keeper that is a more complete keeper than Reina if you count in all the above. You simply won't find one.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Yeah Reina's top class and to label him 'ordinary' or whatever is just plain idiocy.

However, he's looked shaky recently, since the United game. One of Reina's strengths, though, is his ability to bounce back from mistakes and not let anything affect him. His mental strength is outstanding. No worries as far as Reina is concerned.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He set up our goal today and almost created another. I have never seen a keeper that is such a big attacking threat as Reina if you don't count in the keepers that takes freekicks and penalties.

He is simply outstanding when it comes down to that. Schmeichel was excellent doing that but Reina is even better.

Does anybody think Pepe is a little short on it?

He's a strong, stocky lad but sometimes when big forwards challenge him he looks a little uneasy and was thinking maybe his lack of height is a factor.

In saying that he's a top class goalie, no doubt about it. Best shot stopper around, such quick reflexes. Love the way he's always looking to release the ball asap when he gets it.

Still very young for a keeper too.

It's only human nature to see players as a little better than they actually are if they play for your team. Like Lucas for example. Some are on about him as being the future best player in the world Or even Voronin was being touted as a superstar earlier in the season becuase he had a handful of performances above his normal standard. No doubt there will be a shrine to plessil thread in a couple of weeks.
