To put it another way: Torres has given us what we epected and what his price says he would. on the other hand,Santa cruz's antics this season far outweigh the expectations a price like that would suggest.

going on goals scored, cruz was better value. going on merchandising, torres was better value. it depends on which angle you want to put on it. looking at the complete package (on and off the pitch) and not just goals, IMO torres is better value in the long term.
yeah exactly which is why now is probably a good time to remind people that Hughes was only talking about on the pitch!

He's better value for them, Torres is better value for us.

By this goal:transfer fee ratio bollocks Voronin is better value than the lot of them

I suggest you look up the word value in the dictionary for your own good boss

Hands up who'd go for UTD?

Bet 1: UTD home to Reading @ 1/6

Bet 2: Everton home to Reading @ 4/5

Taking in to account merchandise revenue, I doubt SC is better value pound for pound.

This is hilarious, I'm still wondering how Hughes' statement above has turned into an off the field merchandising argument, this forum is great

Nic, are you glad we signed Torres at his price, or would you prefer we'd signed Cruz for his smaller fee? Simple question.

at their respective fees, who do you think blackburn would have preferered to sign though?
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.
