I'm no great lover of the Americans but cutting valuable funds to the club is only going to damage the club.

Good luck to whoever backs this idea, I won't criticise but I won't be one of them. I want H&G out of our club too but I don't think this is the way. I have 3 young kids who want the new kit and I won't be letting them down. I've always bought all my LFC stuff from the offal store cos it puts money towards the Academy and not into the coffers of large sports stores which IMO is an important thing.

What people are saying is that boycotting merchandise is not likely to make much of a difference. I think pretty much everyone wants to stick it to hicks, it's just that the majority think we need to find another way to shaft them.

I'm still trying to think of a way that shafts Hicks and not LFC. I'll clue you in once I've worked it out. BUT boycotting merchandise is not the way to go. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face!

To be honest I'm surprised at Alpha's stance on this

I'm surprised so many think anti-yank songs, peaceful protests and pulicity stunts achieve anything other than making ourselves feel better that we aren't laying down and accepting our fate willingly.

If that's all we are prepared to do, we may as well lay down and accept our fate willingly.

I'll support any action that might actually play a part in helping to force Hicks and Gillett out and if that means damaging the club in the process, it won't even scratch the surface of the damage they are likely to do if they stay.

If you feel differently, are prepared to tolerate them and even help service their debt, that's your prerogative.

I`ll be buying both this week along with a LFC jacket.

Like it or not, the Yanks are part of the club and if we want to hurt them, we may have to hurt the club.

It depends how far you are prepared to go.

At one extreme there is Johnny who doesn't see a problem and will do nothing and at the other extreme are those who want Hicks and Gillett out at all costs and will boycott anything and everything to do with the club.

I won't be buying the new shirt because even though I don't know if it will make a difference, at least I know I'm not helping them.

If replica shirt sales are low enough, Adidas and Carlsberg will want to renegotiate or pull out and that is going to make refinancing more difficult for the Yanks.
