Such a load of bollox. It wont make a bit of difference.
Look at all them ****s on RAWK.
If we all sit back and keep trundling along blissfully ignorant of what is happening at our club, then Hicks will get more comfortable in his cushy chair, we'll be saddled with more debt and the club will go backwards. He is not good for the club, whatever we do, big or small that even potentially has an adverse affect on him/them, then we should do our upmost to support it.
Calling hard core reds imbecelic is so short sighted you'd think you were severely mentally challenged.

I`m not 100% behind Hicks,i`m just not convinced after the signings of Torres,Masch,Babel and Skittles that Hick`s is the devil.Originally posted by Alpha View PostI wasn't having a go there by the way, it is true you don't see a problem, right?
The credit crunch has put a big dent in his plans for us and this transfer window will most likely see cheaper players signed.
I`m also not adverse to DIC.I just don`t see Hicks leaving with all the TV money, sponsorship, merchandising and Stadium revenue possible in the future.

Like Fatso said....................."It's NOT about 'winning',
it's about fan devotion to a brand". He could be running this club into the ground, but some fans will ALWAYS buy the kit/merchandise. It's what he's counting on.....in his own words.

without trying to twist his words but he's right - being a supporter is not about winning, it's about sticking to your club through thick and thin.Originally posted by REDrascal View PostLike Fatso said....................."It's NOT about 'winning',

too many people are way too hysterical about it for my liking - but anyone as he pleases...

Yes that was my point, he is right, even when 98% of people are unhappy with his plans for the club, massive debt etc, even if it gets worse under him, god forbid....these same people will still buy the merchandise.Originally posted by fred_plasticine View Postwithout trying to twist his words but he's right - being a supporter is not about winning, it's about sticking to your club through thick and thin.

With you 100% on this steve. long time no hear mate, hows it hanging?Originally posted by fowlen View Posthmmmm, personally i think this is Bollocks.
I will support LFC no matter who is in charge, and I will support them in a manner that I deem appropriate.
Boycotting merchandise is ludicrous, as it will have a detrimental impact on the club in both the short and long term. Sponsors would not be happy, and this can cause a ripple effect. At the same time IF some cash generated from the sale of merchandise goes towards securing a decent signing there is a chance of us missing out!
I believe that anyone who intends boycotting the kit, should not be hypocritical, and should boycot ALL merchandise, games, eseason ticket membership etc etc.....and that will end up hurting the individual the most.
FFS we may not like who is in charge, but these sort of things are only going to make them even more intent on going further. It's nothing new, they are not idiots and know how the vast majority of fans feel.

No it won't if it forces the yanks to sell. If cutting their revenues makes them come to the conclusion that they need to offload the club to make any kind of return, and we get better owners as a result I see it as the right course of action - the action I believe it is incumbent on us all to take.Originally posted by Sheik Yerbouti View PostWell I agree but I haven't moaned about them ruining our club so.....
As I said, will you do the same when DIC take over and keep the club in debt or use the media to mouth off or make moves to replace Rafa?
I'm no great lover of the Americans but cutting valuable funds to the club is only going to damage the club.
We know there is an interested party waiting in the wings to seize control of the club. Given how disastrous the Americans have been for us I think it is fair to assume DIC will be no worse. We know the Americans' primary motivation is maximising their returns while DIC on the other hand appear to have genuine fans on baord. If there was no propspective owner waiting in the wings then I'd agree boycotting would be cutting our nose to spite our face, but as it is this may be chance to force teh Americans' hands and get ourselves better owners
Any action which may precipitate the departure of the Americans is not damaging to the club IMO.White liquid in a bottle = Milk
Purslow = C*nt
