Will ramadan affect momo

I’ve not seen many people mention this so far, but is everybody aware that it is Ramadan at the moment.

I know Momo struggled with it this time last year. No eating or drinking, even water, during the day time isn’t ideal conditions for an athlete. But he seems to be doing better this time, although Rafa seems to be taking it easy with him.

Just as well Hamman wasn’t Muslim, can you imagine what he would have been like if he wasn’t able to have a fag all day!

I belive he gets some kind of dispensation so that he - along with other sportsmen, can effcetively discharge their professional responsibilities.

I don't know what form this dispensation takes.

The Club should give an account of Momo in Ramadan so that we can all understand what is involved. The club would have the opportunity to present Islam in a more favourable light, using Momo as the vehicle, and may help promote more tolerant realtionships. This would be in marked contrats to teh usal islamist histrionics.

Just a thought.

I’m told you get dispensation if you travel more than 30km in one day….. but you have to make the day up later on.

Also the 30km has to be done on the back of a camel!

Or before sunrise...... we have the joy of being woken up at 4:30 am by the call to prayer here in Oman.

At the end of the day though we cant complain, we are guests after all.
