Exactly. Simple economics, if there's more money being earned by clubs, more money will be demanded for players.

Don't worry I am sure Rash can glide past that one.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

as long as they're good players thats fine by me. its when we buy overpriced turd. thats got nothing to do with economics its to do with buying what you need when you need it.

no one can say we looked anything near a quality outfit last weekend

Nor did Chelsea yesterday. No one can deny that we can beat any team on our day, and we’re also capable of playing some nice football. So far we haven’t shown it, but we’ve got 6 points and that’s all that matters now. You know yourself that we can only improve as the season progresses, so as long as we pick up the points until we do, what’s the problem?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

the problem is that i see exactly the same flaws as last year.

That’s fair enough, but until Keane settles down in his new surroundings, and Dossenna gets used to the English game, you can’t really make a practical judgement.
Rafa is still looking to add to the squad and for all we know this new player could give the team a whole new dimension.

Dimension? Rafa wants Downing, Barry or Riera. Hardly "edge of seat", more like steady Eddies. I think Rafa is up there with the best when it comes to winning one off games and down there with the worst when it comes to creative football and creative players.

rafa has been the most backed manager in liverpool history and still we're playing hoof ball.
Based on the number of first choices he has been denied?

That many? I assume with your assertion of fact that you have documentary evidence of such and that is just not your inability to properly uptake serotonin which leads you to such conclusions.

the fact is before rafa non of our previous managers went running to the media.

i don't need documentary evidence - it was something called 'the liverpool way' where our business was conducted behind closed doors.

rafa's been backed, anyone who thinks otherwise needs their eyes testing

Houllier was constantly on TV making excuses.

Did anyone see United today with half their team missing? Forget the results and the like, but it doesn't matter what team they seem to put out, they have a fluidity and a style to their play we can only dream of having. I don't know how Rafa can fail to watch games like that and think "****, what style do we play"?

Houllier is a tit but even on half the budget Rafa gets - in an era when United were buying £30m defenders and £28m midfielders - he never complained about money. The first time I have ever seen such a palava over money has been from the most financially backed a manager of our history.
